(1) It's not the average patriots but the top people. (2) Wearing the mask protects others mostly. Eye and maybe nose covering is probably more useful for protecting yourself. Hence, the rule is often that you must wear face covering. Protecting yourself with eyeglasses is up to you, but all healthcare folks I've seen wear them now.
