Anonymous Coward User ID: 61146395 United States 12/08/2020 08:54 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Ben has changed his tone on the upcoming solar cycle. For a decade it was discussed how all evidence pointed towards this next cycle being a very dead one. But in the last month or so there has been such an increase is sunspot and CME activity that the datapoints are showing an abnormal swing towards high activity. Ben changed his tone as a result of that swing. He is suggesting if the current trends continue that Earth will experience power outages during this solar cycle as Earths weakened magnetic field (now 20% less strong than just before the year 1900) . A weaker magnetic field = more radiation penetrating the ionosphere = more radiation hitting Earths surface = more electrical surges & ill heart health effects Also note the frequency of solar energy that makes it to Earths surface is the same frequency range which our brain communicates to itself within the amygdala, which is widely known to pilot peoples emotional responses. so yeah. |

He knows what he's talking about, if his research shows we may end up with another Carrington event or worse I am inclined to believe that's possible. Still-for years all the research showed we would be entering a Grand Minimum, and up until today all the changes in the climate/world supported that. Need more studies. "Doom! Doom! Doom! In the case of a solar flare or CME, your inverters will shut down the rest of your solar energy system to protect it from any further damage.” |

Quoting: Uncle Intel He has long predicted a weak ramp-up to solar maximum later this decade. But in this video, he walks that back. Uncle Intel (OP) User ID: 78071748 Netherlands 12/08/2020 09:05 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | He said that the incoming plasma stream could disrupt satellite function and maybe more. He did not say it would be a Carrington event. He said that as the solar storm cycle tops out during the next decade, the top could be bigger than he's predicted, as the evidence now suggests; and that during the next decade the Earth's EM field will be relatively weak. The combination, he said, could produce events that we are not prepared for. Hey, Tard, it's your uncle. |

President-Elect Revbo™ User ID: 79418380 United States 12/08/2020 09:12 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Longtime researcher Davidson says that he may be wrong about the next solar maximum being weak. He goes on to say that the evidence is starting to support a powerful solar maximum instead. He says that during the time of solar maximum, the Earth's protective EM field (edit) could be relatively weak. He said the combination of a powerful solar max and a weak Earth EM field could create scenarios we are not prepared for. He says "enjoy electricity while you can." I would rather look at genuine scientific doom than fake scientific doom any day of the week Solar doom is the only 100% certain doom. There's no escaping from cycles. The only uncertainty is the turn of which cycle we are looking at. It could be the turn of a 11,000-year cycle, but even the... 100,000 year cycle. The cold will be brutal, just as the loss of power grid. This only makes me wonder if there are any emergency plans for nuclear power plants, if there is a Carrington-magnitude event, or bigger. The only good thing people in high latitudes can do is move away from coastlines as coastal areas will be burried by snow. |
