Except I added parsnip, beet, turnip and carrot to the plain potato blend. Next time, I'll not add the carrot. Added with the beet, it is a bit on the sweet side. SO, either or root can be left out.

We used the rest of the London broil from them other day. Mr sliced it super thin, which I found a tip to online. Freeze the meat for about 30 minutes to make it firmer.

Then I marinated it in the Mongolian beef marinade but for about 3 hours. We made an team. He coated in the cornstarch mix, them I fried for any 5 minute per side.

Add mozzarella and mushrooms for as be steak quesadilla. Almost ho made au gratin potatoes.

We stopped in what is usually a more expensive store as it was on the way home. I got a 5# bag of yellow potatoes on sale for $4.99!

I'm on the ball this week in the cooking dept anyhow.tounge

I made curry chicken tonight. But we're still on the corn starch and fry thing, so I did that before I put it in the sauce with the zucchini and mushrooms. I had already cooked them yesterday so I didn't mind the extra step. It turned out good and thickened the sauce a little. I let it simmer with a lid on for about 30 minutes or so.

Yum! We were thinking baked shells or chicken parmesan this week. Maybe both!

I made chicken dumplings and peach cobbler today. My son wanted to take a Sunday off. Maybe they were tired of us.

So we went to my daughter's house instead.

She had big shallow bowls so it looked prettier than it does in the mugs.

I have been drinking Alkaline 8.8 for years and never have gotten acid reflux...is there a link~answer.

[link to pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov (secure)]

Methods: Laboratory studies were performed to determine whether human pepsin was inactivated by pH 8.8 alkaline water. In addition, the buffering capacity of the alkaline water was measured and compared to that of the two most popular commercially available bottled waters.

Results: The pH 8.8 alkaline water irreversibly inactivated human pepsin (in vitro), and its hydrochloric acid-buffering capacity far exceeded that of the conventional-pH waters.

Sorry Db , that sucks! Not to brag, but it's sunny and supposed to be almost 80.

Mr had to go into the city so I'm going to go. We can go to the park and if the tide isn't too high, the beach too.

I have it alkaline water, but didn't know it was good for acid reflux. I used to have it pretty bad. It's gotten a lot better over the last few years.

I'll have to ask if I be can have it at my next visit. I asked if I could have 2 supplements this last time and he says noooo, you don't want that. tounge

prescribing water? sounds like the 1st thing people did...

[link to hankeringforhistory.com (secure)]

Both Hippocrates and Plato write about a specific therapy called hydrotherapy. Simply put, water therapy. The Ancient Greeks noticed that natural hot springs seemed to have healing properties. Specifically, the qualities of the water helped relieve skin diseases, and relax swollen joints and muscles. For this, they built Thermals around hot springs.

I read that alkali water may help some with kidney issues, others not so much. If only we had docs that thought like that.

Well I have 2 cool doctors, the other being a neurologist. Since I can't take any antiinflammatories, he told me to take turmeric. He said it was much better anyway. More it helps Mr, too. Those drugs made him sick to his stomach.

So next visit with my primary who wanted to know why I taking turmeric. He told me to stop. All I have to do was name drop the specialist who had "prescribed" them for me. End of discussion.tounge

Speaking of technically food and medicine.. shrooms.

I don't have an opinion just yet as to whether the micro dosing helps the migraines. I do think it helps me sleep.

My son says there are other kind I should try, but I like the type he got for me. Super mellow when combined with cannabis.

In which form are you taking turmeric?
Tincture is best, and never swallow it, let it evaporate in your mouth even though it will discolour your teeth for awhile.

Do you just chew them? Make a tea? About how much each 'dose'?

Helping sleep is always a plus and also why I'm interested in this. :) I'd prefer to not need a pill, ya know? I wouldn't sleep without medication. The more natural though, the better. It's likely still illegal here though. I've read it's becoming legal in other states.

This came in a chocolate bar. From another state I'm guessing. I don't know the guy, my son does. On the back it says 1-3 are considered a microdose. We take about 1/4 square. Mr also smokes and I take my RSO. I hope we can get more, but I'm not sure.

This is the one we have.
