It must come from lack of distraction. I'd had rather knocked on your door and handed a great beverage gift over in exchange for a slice.

We would have gladly shared while we shooed the dogs off the couch to make room for you! Of course, then they would have jumped right up again. Hope you don't mind a 90 lb dog on your lap.

I lurk every now and then and try to keep caught up, but there are only so many things I can read at once.

Pets are great for healing.

Only thing with me is mine don't get on the furniture without an invite, which is rare.

It's and understanding we have with each other.

I can't tolerate the fur, dirt and mud on anything other than the floor.

I went to my daughter and son in laws house for Thanksgiving last year. She asked me to make some gravy, but she didn't have any flour or corn starch.

Thinking outside the box, I ended up making the turkey gravy base with crushed crackers.

Turned out great.

Sadly.....yes. It's not just you.

All of the food looks delicious guys.

Sadly I don't take pics of what I make or eat too often. I am too busy eating it...I don't own a cell phone (my last one bricked on me.) and my camera isn't usually there with me. heh.

Good morning. What great threads you moderated, BBQ Boy. I'm sure glad I was a part of them. Good people follow you.

I missed a lot of threads. Caught the Rittenhouse one when the verdict came in.

Power was out here twice in a week for several days. Then I had company over who was trying to tag a buck for the last days of late hunting season. I got mine early season.

One was a first time hunter who I was field training so she can get experience before she takes the hunter safety course. she took a safety course deferral for first time hunters and I agreed to instruct her. It was unfortunate she didn't get her buck nor her dad, but they didn't have much time to get up here to really put in the time for it.

She's a great kid. My best friends daughter.

Then my bamboo counter top arrived. So now I need to draw up some plans and prepare to build the base unit. Yay!

I started at 8:20, they have humor and an amazing vision.

wowwww, that's like early Christmas. :smiley_4: I bet it'll be beautiful.

I am no master craftsman, but I did use to work at a furniture factory that cut lumber and glued them into wood panels for furniture orders. I was checked off for operating nearly every machine in the plant from saw, to glue kiln, to sander, to rip, to shipping, to forklift, backhoe and everything in between. I actually miss that job. I had a quasi supervisory position after spending about 5 years there. Probably trained @ 250 or more people in that time for various tasks. I had to let it go for health reasons.

I hope you are right. I really don't do well with that kind of stuff anymore due to the ongoing nature of my disability. If I push myself too much I really suffer now days.

If I can get some extra help I think I can get er done!

Still need to get some painters tape, stain and sealant along with the proper length screws, (which I probably already have on hand). I am sure I am forgetting some things.

Then clear my kitchen area up and move things out of there before I get down to cuts.

I am going to need to cut the counter down too.

I purchased the ten foot one because the 8 was all out of stock. I decided the ten foot would give me a very nice bamboo butcher block cutting board from the leftover section. I only need about 7 feet for my counter, which will have a stainless sink and possibly another cutout also for my convection cook top.

I hope to start in the next couple weeks if I can. But first need to draw up some plans so that will likely add more time. I struggle with self motivation....also.....heh.

I watched that video you posted.

Loved the energy and attention the couple had for each other and the project they were working on.

Those threads could be compiled into one trial thread and eventually locked for posterity. It was quite the ride, even from very afar. A baked potato for lunch with sourcream, green onion, bacon and crumbled matsutake bits.
