Food with Attitude!

Baby's coming tonight. We wanted breakfast so I made cheesy grits to set up in the fridge over night. I'll make her the crunchy grit patties she loves.

That looks good! I tried making them once and they just didn't taste right to me.

Cold ravioli (spinach and ricotta) pasta, with a light oleo of garlic and onion with cold tomatoes (Roma), red bell pepper, deli ham, and fried mushrooms. I'll see if I can make a photo worthy bowl when I eat...when the sun goes down.

I think we're getting all your rain. I think either rained here or somewhere in the county every day for 2 weeks or so.

I caved for a day & am having a cheese-alicious breakfast.

Scrambled eggs with cheese & gravy (packet mix), air fries, cheese grits, a piece of bacon & a couple bits of french toast sticks.

So I cooked some garlic, green pepper, onion, and hamburger meat with olive oil. Added some Raos spicy marinara. Then cut some egg wraps into strips as noodles and added in to the skillet to make spaghetti, keto style.

It was soooooo good.

91.4 F to 104 F here...great! Not. Next week it should be back to the normal 77-82F. Clifford Highness stated along time ago that summer would be condensed into shorter time frames. He seems to be correct in this line of thinking. All part of a mini-Ice Age that last 40 or so years. I guess if I were gardening for resilience I'd add plantings a few USDA Zones lower then where I am at. Condo's don't have gardens!

Hmm, I've never had egg wraps. I'll have to try them.

Our feel like temps includes the humidity. Many days it can be in the high 80s, but feel like 100 with the humidity. Here, they even include a shade & a sun temp like people don't know it's cooler in the shade?

I'm making chicken curry tonight.

They are yummy. I use them for lasagna noodles too. I get them from target. They make good wraps for sandwiches. I also like the cheese wraps. The egg wraps come in plain or everything bagel :)

Great presentation. You can tell just by looking at it that it tastes wonderful!

The missus put the small AC into the guest bedroom, she cools down like that and sleeps there. We have a 'cool room'. But it's just hot an muggy here. South facing windows. West facing porch which is good until about an hour ago, and then it'll be great when the sun goes behind the neighbours roofs. But since it is still out, it's hard to even catch a river breeze. Dang. ANyhow...I guess it's weather night! Off for some more white wine.

I am very intrigued by these egg wraps! I hadn't heard of them. We've gotten the Mission low carb wraps from Target. Those are great.

Is the sauce homemade? If so, will you share the recipe?

It's not real spicy even thought the jar of paste says it's 3 peppers hot.

Thai Kitchen brand has the recipe on the side of the coconut milk's label. I had never tried curry, but I liked this. maybe because it's sweet & spicy.

I just made a cookie mix I bought last fall. I bought all 3 kinds because they looked so good. I noticed the other day they expired this month. I mean how bad could they be with flavors like Maple Brown sugar, Gingerbread, & Pumpkin Spice.

Nice! I'd definitely give them a try. Especially as a pasta/noodle substitute, although I'm not quite sure how to use them in that way. Yes, I hope AC will share more info about them. :)

The apple brown sugar ones are good. Now so that I don't keep eating them, I made plain popcorn.

I was never a big fan of popcorn until I discovered white popcorn. I bought it quite by accident. It was the cheapest.
