That sounds good! We used to fry it, c cutting slices in the edges so it didn't ball up. Went great with eggs., Duh, what you just said! Lol

Para, I say "yea" also.

We used to make something called flying saucers at the nursing home I used to work at. It's really simple and surprisingly filling!

Put parchment paper on a cookie sheet, lay out the number of slices of bologna that you want.

Heat your oven to 350 degrees.

While you're waiting for the oven to preheat, make up an equal amount of instant mashed potatoes at about 1/2 to 3/4 cup per slice. I know, but real potatoes don't work as well for some reason. If you do use leftover real tater's, thin them down some.

Put a scoop of potatoes on each slice of bologna and bake until the bologna curls up like a bowl. Put a slice of cheese on that and put back in the oven until melted.

Really good in the winter! I can never eat more than 2.

I know it sounds weird, but it's surprisingly good. We always had it with broccoli or California blend.

We used to make them with cooked hamburger patties for the ones that couldn't have bologna. I've never had them that way, but the residents loved them. We used to feed staff as well and almost everyone ate on those days.

That doesn't sound bad at all! I haven't bought bologna in ages. I'll start keeping an eye for a sale to try that.

I try to make real mashed potatoes, but with the prices of potatoes lately, I'll be using instant more often. I really don't mind the packets that are butter or cheese flavored.

I forgot an important part!

Put the cookie sheet with the bologna in the oven while you're making the instant potatoes and DON'T cut the bologna!! You WANT it to make a bowl and be a bit brown around the edge. Put the potatoes in the bowl and then cover with the cheese to melt.

Sorry about that. I was trying to multi task at the time. It didn't work too well, I see.
