Saturn had nothing to do with the Jupiter stationary transit in Aries of Dec. 17th, 6 BC (the real Star of Bethlehem).

This transit is in Saturn's own domicile, and Jupiter (the king star) is severely weakened in such an alignment.

It doesn't portend the birth of a kingdom, but it does mark the fall of one.

Here is what the true star of Bethlehem looked like on Dec. 17, 6 BC. It is Jupiter stationary conjunct with the Luna. As you can see, the Moon (the sign for Mary) is holding the new born King Messiah (the sign for Jesus) in the sign of the Ram (ruler over the province of Syria and Judea according to Ptolemy in his Tetrabiblos).

If you want to see the Star of Bethlehem (Jupiter conjunct with Luna in Aries), you will have one opportunity in your life to see a very close approximation of it on December 22, 2023.

That's your one window of opportunity.

That's not a date, it the time. It's simply an arbitrary time I chose after sunset on Dec. 22, 2023. Around 7 or 8 that evening you'll start being able to view it into the night.

While it's true that Jupiter does make his circuit through the signs once every 12 years as the king's crown cycle, what isn't so common is this particular close conjunction with Luna in Aries. If you miss this one, you won't get another chance to see it in your life.

And it always happens upon lunar month Tevet the 9th, which can range a bit in our Gregorian calendar from mid to late December. In 6 BC it happened to correspond to our December 17th. And Jupiter went stationary that very day, which is an exceedingly rare transit conjunction.

This Jupiter / Saturn conjunction coming up.. they hype it as the Star of Bethlehem to get people excited and draw attention to it (though it is not the star of Bethlehem.

Nonetheless, it is a powerful conjunction and transit in its own right. Saturn it is in all his power in his native domicile of the winter Goat.

There is the fall of a king. A great conflict. The passing of an empire and birth of a new one. But, which king falls? For there is a war. We know one falls. Which one we do not know.

However this transit more portends death than it portends birth.

They say Saturn is the Great Misfortune. And in this transit, I can't say they're far wrong. Saturn will completely cancel Jupiter's power as king here in this house and aspect

Saturn reigns here in his own cold house. Not Jupiter. Jupiter is jovial and exalted in his domicile of Sagittarius, but not Capricorn.

Well, actually, I should say that Saturn isn't the Great Misfortune to any but the unjust who reap their own misfortune.

Saturn is a harvester bringing in the winter. He is of Peace, Rest, and Consolation to those of Justice. Saturn is the Great Consolation to some, to others the Great Misfortune.

But he is a Time Keeper, and Time waits for no man. Saturn will turn his hour glass and there is no stopping him.

The real question in this transit is who prevails and sets the tone for generations to come.

Will the wicked prevail, or do the valient arise for the Stand?

And, make no mistake, this transit marks the Stand.

The stars were made to mark days, seasons, years from the beginning.

They are signs marking times, moods, energies, seasons.

We do not prognosticate with them. Only God gives blessing. However, the sign gives both warning and direction of what is being done on earth.

God knows them all. Our knowledge of them is at the subconscious level at best in reality. We feel them more than explicate them. And we feel them because they are always sure indicators of what comes to pass on earth.

The stars were made for man, not man for the stars.

Very good posts here. I should have took astrology and Sanskrit up when I was young. The sun's companion Sirius is at it's closest point to the sun with earth between and marks the new year. This must figure into things.

Looks like the last time Jupiter and Saturn were this close was March 11-12, 1226 (March 4-5, 1226 Julian). I'm interested in this conjunction cycle. Will have to find out what other years it came.

Jupiter / Saturn come into conjunction every 19.6 years, so it's basically the same as a metonic cycle. You can mark generations by it, though Jupiter / Saturn are not always as closely conjunct as this time.

Here's a list of conjunction years.

For whatever else we may say about this coming transit, one thing that is certain is that it marks the end of an era.

Since it pertains to Jupiter as well and the rule of kings on earth, what rulers do at this time will define a generation for the next 20 years at least.

If Trump walks, your entire nation and possibly woeld is overthrown, finished. Evil rule will define it.

If Trump stands, you have the chance to turn the tide for good, for it will pertain to and define an entire generation.

These stars determine nothing. They are simply time markers of a crossing.

What is done is up to you.

Yes it did.

Jupiter had gone retrograde that year of 6 BC

It came into stationary conjunction with Luna upon 17th of December and began resuming normal motion upon the 19th. It was actually stationary for about 4 days from the 16th through the 19th. However, it was upon the 17th that it ceased from it's retrograde motion and was conjunct with Luna. And this is the aspect that marked the Nativity that night.

The ancient oral tradition among the Christians is that Christ had been born at the Saturnalia, which falls upon December 17th.

The Yudaics would fast upon Tevet the 9th according to Alfred Edersheim because they knew this to mark the birth of Yeshua.

That year of 6 BC, Tevet 9 fell upon the Saturnalia, December 17, 6 BC at the Jupiter / Luna stationary conjunction.

We know it had to be sometime in December because lambing season in Ysrael is always in December, even to this day agriculturally.

Christ is born on Tevet 9 (December 17, 6 BC) at Jupiter stationary in Aries. I mark his birth in the 7th house that night.

However, the circumcision (the covenant birth) would have been that December 25th the 8th day after according to Yudaic count. This is also the first day of ancient winter as the ancients mark their seasons when the sun comes out of solstices and equinoxes. So, to mark the feast on December 25th is not a wrong concept as long as one understands that this would have been the day of his circumcision, the covenant birth.

Traditionally, Saturnalia week marks the last big hurrah before the long, bleak winter. So it was then, and perhaps even today.

It's dark season from now till crossquarter in February when we start to get a real upswing toward spring.

However, it is at this very darkest hour when the world is filled with Saturnine cares, worries, and regrets and tries to ward them away with many distractions that the light shines on those who sit in darkness.

We don't know exactly where the Migdal Eder (Tower of the Flock) was, but we do know it was extremely close to Mother Rachel's Tomb overlooking the same field. This Tower of the Flock was really the only "manger" (stall/feeding place) near bethlehem as all the sheep grazed in this field about 1000 paces north of Bethlehem heading toward Ramah (according to Jerome) and were dedicated to the Temple at Jerusalem as set apart. I believe with no doubt in my mind that Luke's "manger" indeed refers to the Tower of the Flock that once stood here. The birth of the king was prophesied to come from the Tower of the Flock in Micah 4. This is the true hill of the Nativity, not over at the Basilica of the Nativity. Jesus was born at the stall outside of Bethlehem, not in the middle of Bethlehem. There was no room in town because everyone had to register for the census that year and Hanukkah had only recently ended. Neither in Jerusalem, nor Bethlehem would there have been any room. There was one place, however, that doubled as a lodging for shepherds out on duty - the town manger. Jesus was born near Mother Rachel's tomb where stood the Migdal Eder.

You see all the Yudaics in Israel today making a weekly trek into Bethlehem to pray at Mother Rachel's Tomb. It is a sacred place to them, but not not only for them, but for us as well. It is here near mother Rachel's tomb in Bethlehem Ephratha where stood the Tower of the Flock. It is in this community manger where we hold Yeshua to have been born.

If these Magi of Matthew 2 are really Nabataean, which seems likely, then their visit was far more political than we have first thought. King Aretas IV Philopatris reigned over the Nabataean empire during the days of Herod the Great and controlled the spice routes all the way to Yemen. He was not actually very fond of Herod as Herod was half Nabataean and a rival. Aretas' daughter was even married to Herod Antipas. Therefore, when Magi are sent to inquire of the new born king of the Yudaics, their mission is not simply theological curiosity, but pronouncedly political as well.

It was King Aretus of Petra who sent troops to aid Varus in putting down the Yudaic uprising in 4 BC when Herod died. King Herod was shaken at these portents indicating the Nativity of a king, and I don't think Aretus would have minded shaking up Herod as much as possible. Aretus wanted nothing more than a new king of the Yudaics. And he wanted that king as an ally instead of a rival. It appears that the visitation of the Magi was also an intelligence gathering mission ordered directly by Aretus IV. He wanted to know who this new king was and where he was. This knowledge could prove useful to being rid of the Herodian dynasty and forging a new Yudaic and Nabataean alliance.

It was in the interest of these dwellers in Seir to make peace with this prophesied Messiah as well in that Baalim the Seer had foreseen his star and had uttered the oracle of their calamity that would be brought by this child.

Numbers 24 17I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the borders of Moab, and destroy all the sons of Sheth. 18And Edom shall become a possession, Seir also shall become a possession for his enemies; and Israel shall perform valiantly. 19Out of Jacob shall rise one that shall have the Kingship, and shall destroy the remnant of the City.
