First global warming, Covid19, riots and now Covid19

During the last climate change scare that was the most important problem in the world. Then came Covid19 and it was forgotten... Then the riots and it seemed like the pandemic wasn't so important any longer. Lots of people acted as if it was gone.

Now we have the second wave pandemic. What scares me is the authorities have claimed we might need the restrictions even after the vaccine, maybe for years.

This is world wide the biggest restrictions for any pandemic ever. Yet it's almost insignificant compared to the Spanish flu. Even other pandemics like the Hong Kong flu was as of yet worse.

So are they overreacting and especially to this second wave? This is taking a high toll economically on many nations and on people psychologically.
