I tend to think if the US East Coast were really in that much danger, the Navy would already have been doing something about it years ago.

I mean if it's that bad, why wouldn't a Russian sub launch a nuke at it to trigger the mega-tsunami at the start of WWIII?

So then wouldn't the President do a deal with the Canary Islands and then the Navy starts taking their mountain apart day by day missile by missile for a year or two, to decrease the threat over time?
