I respect your faith in Jesus, and you might be very surprised to find out my beliefs. That said, let me point out what I see as a problem with your statement. Your point of view places most of the importance on death and the afterlife...and, I agree, that is VERY encouraging. BUT, it really does NOTHING to change the situation for the HERE AND NOW. "The world is rough and beats you up...but ONE DAY things will be better..." This thinking leads to unneeded suffering in everyday living. Yes, Jesus has our souls in the palm of His hand, but gave us orders to follow our heart and take action to make the world a better place. |
