How many of you understand that carbonate rock is a consequence of biological incorporation of CO2 by living organisms?

White cliffs of Dover is carbonate rock, marble is carbonate rock, all of which is due to fossilized calcific deposition.

Carbonate rock is usually the result of living organisms.
Inorganic carbonate rock not from living organisms is very rare.

OP just edited the original post, which claims Martian microbes produced the ooid sand grains at Gobabeb, Mars.

The takeaway point being that oxygen and carbon need a life form intermediary to produce carbonate precipitate for the most part.
It would be nice if someone with actual legitimate but honest geologic chemistry credentials would step in, the only verification being the acknowledgement that oil doesn't come from dinosaurs digging themselves miles down to die en mass, Because they didn't, oil comes from polymerization of methane and other simple organic gases compressed and polymerized by heat and pressure over millions of years.
Just so You know since dinosaur and predinosaur fossils are not found at depths where oil is found, they remain primarily at or near surface levels except where buried by consequence of repeated volcanic ash deposition.
