Depends but heres a tricky thing. All you have on Bill Gates right now is what you've heard from the internet meaning you don't trust Bill Gates the person because of what the internet said. If that is the case then why do you trust the people who write these things on the internet if you do not know them in person as well?
You yourself know how easy rumors are to spread and things are manipulate so what if the sources themselves? Maybe you've even had a rumor about you spread once in the past that you thought was ridiculous, but there it was.
So easily the test could be the other way around, what if Bill Gates honestly was a good hearted billionaire, but the information online twisted it to make him look bad, perhaps out of jealousy. Then what if it was your job to know that, to not judge a person until you get to know the person?
Ultimately you don't know the Bill Gates. Even some of the people you've known for years and years turn out to be different to what you expected? Why are we so quick to judge these rich people as evil people? what if they did do charity that we didn't know about? what if they did have a plan to help the poor? Too much of their lives are a mystery for us, and probably less than 1% of it is actually reported.
