I know a man who has been on and off ventilators for about 4 years, in a nursing home the entire time.

He tested positive and died - NOT from "covid"

but from being sent from his nursing home to a hospital that refused to keep him because he had no symptoms. The nursing home refused to take him back.

This was New York State

So he was sent (without his family being permitted to demonstrate his very complex care) to a new, unfamiliar nursing home, where continuity of care was NOT assured.

That is what ended his life - my former brother in law.

"covid" was much easier on him than any of his previous bouts of bacterial pneumonia. He had no symptoms.
