Congressman-elect Luke Letlow underwent surgery for blood clot before his death

Louisiana Rep.-elect Luke Letlow, who died of COVID-19 complications, was operated on for a blood clot before he succumbed to a heart attack, according to a new report.
The 41-year-old Republican underwent two procedures to treat a blood clot that he developed while he battled the coronavirus, the Monroe News-Star reported.
The second operation appeared to be successful on Tuesday but he died later that day from a heart attack at Ochsner LSU Health in Shreveport, the paper reported.
“It’s devastating to our entire team,” LSU Health Shreveport Chancellor G.E. Ghali told the paper, adding that Letlow “had no underlying conditions.”

Pennsylvania state Rep. Mike Reese (R), who in November was reelected to a seventh term in the state House, died Saturday afternoon of an apparent brain aneurysm. He was 42. 
According to a statement from Pennsylvania House Majority Leader Kerry Benninghoff (R), Reese, who was elected to serve as the Republican caucus chairman for the 2020-2021 session, “died peacefully with his family by his side” at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital in Greensburg, Pa.

Virginia state Sen. Ben Chafin Jr. has died after contracting Covid-19, according to a statement from his office. He was 60 years old.
"State Senator Augustus Benton (Ben) Chafin, Jr., a native son of Russell County located in Southwest Virginia, passed away on January 1, 2021 from Covid-19 complications," the statement said.
The Republican lawmaker's family thanked the VCU Medical Center in Richmond for "its vigorous care and heartfelt support during his two weeks of medical services there."

This is a totally different issue.

In general, when someone has a vaccine and has "immunity" it doesn't mean that they can not be infected.

It means when they get infected, they don't get sick because the body mounts an immediate or very fast immune response clearing the infection out before it does any significant damage.

You have tetanus antibodies in your system, if it goes low, and T-8 memory cells are still primed, you can get infected, but the body will generate antibodies immediately and curtail progression of disease within 48-96 hours.

So, getting infected is still always a possibility, the question is whether or not you will be immune to the infection.

Any viral vaccinations purpose is to keep the load under levels that harm you. It appears in this case, its worked with only half the dose.
