Anyone get theirs? I'm seeing lots of complaining on twitter and then found this. South Florida Educational Federal Credit Union [ link to www.sfefcu.org (secure)] "We have just been notified of a nationwide issue with the processing of the latest IRS stimulus payment. This error has resulted in millions of stimulus payments failing to transmit to financial institutions. In addition, the IRS “Get My Economic Impact Payment” portal is not accurately reflecting payment details. Limited information is available at this time. Please visit our website and social media for updates as resolution to this issue develops." [imgur] [ link to imgur.com (secure)] Thought I would post it.
This is only January 5th and payments won't be complete until the middle of January!!! There are close to 400 million people in this country!
Second, I know someone who works for the IRS and they told me NEVER UPDATE YOUR ADDRESS OR BANK ACCOUNT INFO if you can help it. IF YOU UPDATE YOUR INFO ON THE IRS SITE, IT CAN DELAY YOUR PAYMENT FOR MONTHS!!! I know this is true because it happened to me back in the Spring. I updated my address and account info and it took an additional TWO MONTHS TO GET MY DIRECT DEPOSIT STIMULUS!!!! DON'T DO IT!!!
