Yes, my reading indicates the Gormagons attempted to attend Freemason meetings in the late 1700s, and eventually were not included.
A comment about the riddle posted above: The Mongolians were great horsemen. The physical stature of the Mongolian was a stout, long-waisted torso with short, very strong legs. They could out ride, and out run any opponent, and none of the Europeans and Eurasians were a match for these fierce warriors.
Its possible that if one saw a horde of Mongolians approaching on horseback, they looked like the mythical figure in the riddle with the two tarse, one man, one horse, and if they had captured a woman, which they often did, would have her on the back of the horse.
People were terrified of these roving, raiding hordes of warriors.
