This is not the only game our Goverment is playing. The Veterans are returning home disabled, their spouses are leaving them, what is more, the able bodied spouse, male or female are having their disability pay stolen by State Courts for alimony, while this violates many Federal laws, the Judges have even stated they dont care about the Federal law. We have asked the Secretary of VA to notify the US attorney General the courts are openly violating Federal Law. We get no response, we ask our elected leaders to intervene, we get a computer generated response, thank you for sharing your concern, will contact you shortly. Never to be contacted. We have asked the media to allow the public to hear how state courts are openly violating Federal law, we have gotten no response. The few eected leaders who do respond, claim this is a civil matter for the courts.

Well if it violates Federal Law in reference assignability being prohibited to third parties, then this is no longer a civil matter. What is even sorrier is, nobody enforces this Federal Law. The it is not my Job atitude is well and healthy. There is a organization called operation firing for effect, this is founded by Jere Beery, this is a non profit group trying to get the courts to stop violating veterans rights. He can give a list of veterans who are told by state courts, to either violate the Federal Law, or go to jail, disabled veterans have and are going to jail for refusing to violate Federal Law.

This is not about child support. The able bodied spouse is able to work, yet the disabled veteran cannot. Many disabled veterans are now living in poverty and on the streets, it is a disgrace the courts no longer uphold the letter of the law. And our elected leaders say thank you for your service. Yet do nothing to help. As for me , these elected officials can keep their vote for me thank you, and just shove it. So the veterans are being atacked on many fronts. It is clear it is open season, and being a disabled veterans means, the rights you have fought for and defended, are stripped from you . only because you are disabled.

thank you for responding. Since there is a federal law that protects you guy's, and since the Judges can not know every federal law, that is what you guy's got a lawer for.

I really can not believe that a judge would rule that a disability award that the disabled get for the pain they endured, that that award is being handed over to 3rd parties.

Federal law will always be above State law and I believe that you guys should always be protected from wrong judgements. You served your country, you veterans and active members made this a free country, and your service should always be honored. You guy's loosing your health for keeping your country free, now it is the time of your fellow countrymen to protect you! Everything else is a disgrace for this country.

It was just celebrated in the USA.

Think about it, it is supposed to honor those that fight for your freedom, to thank them.

Veterans and the disabled veterans should not be "stapped in the back" once they can not serve their country any longer.

There are laws, and laws are needed to protect the innecent and helples. Protect your troops and the veterans, protect the disabled veterans. Keep this a country they will always be proud they fought for. As the disabled will be reminded every day of the price they payed doing so.

The sad thing is it would have been better to have died in service, then to be disabled. What was sadder, groups like the , VFW, DVA and PAV have snuffed and ignored this issue. And here is what is shocking, while the benefits are being removed for veterans, these groups who claim to be champions of the Veterans, are only collecting money and stay silent. I guess they have to pay the top officials well in these organizations, why are they silent at this time about veterans issues????
