Gawain (OP) User ID: 5367 United States 11/21/2007 10:04 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Texas Congressman's popularity amongst Democrats, Independents outstrips Giuliani, Romney, Thompson, Paul is only chance of smashing Bush-Clinton power monopoly Paul Joseph Watson Prison Planet Wednesday, November 21, 2007 Zogby's Director of Communications and polling analyst Fritz Wenzel says that Congressman Ron Paul is the strongest of the Republican frontrunners to go up against Hillary Clinton, underlining the fact that the rest of the field are just ringers as the establishment prepares to install Clinton and prolong the Bush-Clinton power monopoly. "Among Democrats, yes, he would be a much stronger candidate than any of the other three (Romney, Giuliani, Thompson)" Wenzel told the Alex Jones Show yesterday. A new Zogby poll commissioned by Jones Productions found Ron Paul the GOP winner in a blind poll that included Democrats, Republicans and Independents nationwide. (Article continues below) "He is anti-war and the majority of Democrats are anti-war, he has some other ideas and policies and stances on issues more attractive to Democrats, particularly conservative Democrats," said Wenzel. "Even among independents, he is far and away a more attractive candidate," he added. As we have highlighted before, Ron Paul is the only Republican candidate who will not seek to lead the U.S. into a military confrontation with Iran, something that leading Democrats Obama, Clinton and Edwards have all vowed to keep "on the table." Ron Paul voted against the war in Iraq and the Patriot Act, both of which were supported by Hillary Clinton. Every other Republican candidate besides Ron Paul stands no chance of coming out on top if they go up against Hillary Clinton for the 2008 presidency. Wenzel agreed that Ron Paul's momentum is something that outstrips all the other candidates and gives him a real chance of performing well. "He's right on schedule," Wenzel said. "He's making all the right moves, going in the right direction...at a time when other candidates are not moving." Wenzel based his analysis on recent nationwide polls that show Ron Paul could win in New Hampshire and find his support intensifying with room to gain. "Here's why his timing is almost perfect. He's moving up...but it's not so early that he's going to get a big backlash," Wenzel added. "6 weeks to 8 weeks out before an election is about the time if you're going to make a big move from the back to the front-- that's when you want to make it," he concluded. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WATCH ALEX JONES' ENDGAME ONLINE NOW in its entirety. Gawain (OP) User ID: 5367 United States 11/21/2007 10:07 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Zogby Slants Poll Results Toward Giuliani truthseeds.org Wednesday November 21, 2007 Zogby posted a press release and reports that “Giuliani Leads Among Republicans in Latest Blind Bio Survey in a survey pitting resumes of the former New York mayor against those of Mitt Romney, Ron Paul, and Fred Thompson.” Extrapolating data from a relatively small demographic of ‘very conservative voters’, Giuliani wins with 34% support, compared to 22% each for Thompson and Romney. Ron Paul, who has surged recently in polls and has a significant online following, came in last with 13% support, while 9% said they were undecided on the question, reported Zogby International. Jones Productions, the sponsor of the survey, concludes that Zogby has spun the results of the poll conducted on November 14, 2007. Paul was the big winner with 32.8% in the general poll, but he did not win amongst this one subset of 389 respondents deeming themselves ‘very conservative’ out of 1009 total likely Republican primary voters polled. Zogby latched onto that one subset and announced that Giuliani won the poll even though Ron Paul won 90% of the categories in the survey. (Article continues below) At the end of the press release though, the real headline and winner is announced: “The blind bio question was also posed to a larger pool of 1,009 likely voters nationwide, including Democrats and independents, and Paul was the big winner among that universe of voters, winning 33%, compared to 19% for Giuliani, 15% for Romney, and 13% for Thompson.” The results of the survey can be found here The poll data reflects that across the board, Ron Paul can beat Hillary Clinton, a feat that no other Republican contender can claim. He is overwhelmingly supported by 46% of Democrats when the vote is split, and 38% of moderates, both double digit leads. This goes to prove that Ron Paul is a uniter and not a divider as he garners support from all camps. Giuliani beats Paul on name recognition only, but Paul is surging ahead and gaining major momentum and this was the headline story of this poll. But Zogby chose to slant it Giuliani’s way and along with the majority of the MSM, continues its focus on establishment-approved candidates thus undermining the democratic process. |
