This is what it says: "This is a raw build of Chromium for Windows x64, right off the trunk. It may be tremendously buggy. Consider Chrome Canary or Dev Channel for a build that regularly auto-updates to latest." [link to download-chromium.appspot.com (secure)] Not feeling particularly enthusiastic, I wanted to download Chrome Canary: "Nightly build for developers Get on the bleeding edge of the web. Be warned: Canary can be unstable. [link to www.google.com (secure)] They are not making it really easy on the normal user, are they? I have no desire to work with an admittedly unstable browsser, never mind one that is tremendously buggy. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 48718181 I didn't like Brave on my phone; it's not not bad on my tablet. I prefer Opera and DuckDuckGo. I will try Vivaldi next. I liked the old Opera much, but it will clearly never come back. Vivaldi one lost all the tabs of my previous session, but this was a couple years ago, maybe the bug was fixed meanwhile. Note that losing my previous session on opening the browser has occurred on ALL my browsers recently, this may have other causes than the browser itself. |

Catnip User ID: 79728682 United States 01/30/2021 06:33 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It's chrome without the Google.. No tracking. No bullshit. Just sweet private browsing. And nobody making money off you unless you want to. It may not have targeted advertising, but if you think google is gonna release a product that doesn't track and snoop then well ...............[insert buy bridge offer here] Brave was created by a guy who used to be at Firefox, not Google. Brave has been around for a few years already. I've had it for at least 3, maybe 4, years. "When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change" |

I smell a rat. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77038665 This must be, what, the 2nd or 3rd time a Brave thread has been pinned? I am using Opera, DuckDuckGo and Brave (Start Page) in tandem. I like these too and just downloaded Brave a few days ago to try out. I like Opera, DDG...bummer Chinese bought Opera. The guys that made and ran Opera before it got taken over now make Vivaldi. It has all the stuff you liked about Opera, privacy, customizability, built in tracker & adblocker, picture in picture for video (super handy when you want to watch a video in a thread while scrolling down to read the rest of the thread or different thread alltogethrer. Try it, you'll like it. It's better than brave. Thanks |
