Hank Johnson has strong words about those causing chaos at the Capitol. Quoting: Coastie Patriot Guesting on MSNBC’s PoliticsNation Saturday, the politician claimed that, had a Capitol police officer not fired the shot which struck unarmed Ashli Babbitt (who later died), he and others would’ve been literally lynched. https://twitter.com/_/status/1348041091182981120 And what would’ve occurred? About that, Hank’s sure: “Reverend Al, when they…finally got us out of there, we walked past spread-eagled rioters on the floor at gunpoint by the Capitol Hill police officers as we went down the steps. They had us surrounded up there on the 3rd floor. And if that police officer had not fired and stopped the onslaught…in the Speaker’s lobby, they would’ve cut off our escape route. They would’ve had us upstairs, and I have no doubt that some of us who look like me would’ve been hanging from the railings of the 3rd floor, onto the House floor, swinging like…strange fruit. We would’ve been swinging from those railings.” from protesters tha stayed in the ROPES while walking thru capitol [link to redstate.com (secure)] stayed in the ROPES while walkign???? This is inciting violence. |

Hank Johnson, Democrat from Lithonia, recently worried that it might be, according to a videotaped congressional hearing that is ... Johnson's comments came during a House Armed Services Committee meeting as he questioned Adm. Robert Willard, commander of the U.S. Pacific Fleet, about the impact of U.S. troops on the little island. "My fear is that the whole island will become so overly populated that it will tip over and capsize," Johnson said, straight-faced and seemingly serious. BUT ... some of the invaders DID want to take hostages, why else would they be having masses of zip ties hanging from their jackets when invading the Capitol? You dnn't go to the shopping mall wearing a flack jacket with zip ties hanging off of that flack jacket. Although Ashli Babbitt was apparently unarmed prove to me that all the people behind her that were trying to invade the inner sanctum of the House Chamber while Congressmen/women were still inside were unarmed. YOU CAN'T Based upon the type of crowd there you can be certain that SOME of those people behind her and that would have crowded in after her would have been armed, and agitated ARMED people are a very dangerous cohort class, particularly when there are potential hostages to take (since they were willing to KILL police to get in there to begin with) Yes you're correct. The Police were behind her, and they were armed. They didnt stop John Sullivan from inciting the violence, they did stop Ashi, They watched because there was no immanent threat. Nobody brandished a firearm beside the police. We forget sometimes that there are saints living among us. When we meet them, we are reminded, not just of the presence of pure divinity right here on earth, but also of our own potential, and of the responsibility we have to try to live up to it ~ for our own sakes and for the very future of this planet. |
