Original Music.... your opinions please...

I’ll give you my honest input. Take it for what it’s worth.

To standout with electronic music you have to be great. This was okay. There was nothing to hook me. Nothing that popped out. It was kinda repetitive. I don’t mean this to discourage. You have a solid foundation for creating music. You need to build on that. Being a self taught musician myself I had to come to the realization that I was bad before I could actually begin to build on my own foundation and start to truly understand music. I don’t consider people with no musical background who make music solely on their phones musicians. That may be cynical but to me, in order to be a musician you have to study it to an extent. You have to understand it. But I can’t deny that you created this. That does make you an artist. When you can create something from nothing you are truly an artist. It’s when the artist becomes a musician that the magical things can happen. That’s how you become great. Get to work. Get your DAW installed on a computer. Get a cheap keyboard and start to learn basic theory. Know basic chords and progressions. Immerse yourself in it. The more you understand music the better your creations will be. Good luck!

If you'll note, in the OP, I said I made "this one" on my phone.

On my PC, I work in FL Studio and Reason. I have a cheap Yamaha keyboard I use as a MIDI controller, as well as an Akai MPK Mini MkII. I also have a Behringer iAxe guitar with a built in USB sound module so I can USB it right to my PC and direct into my DAW.

I guess the limitations of producing music on a phone came across as me being ametuer.

I have FL installed on my studio computer. An olllllld version of it. I never took the time to learn it. It’s pretty wild with what you can do with it. Buddies of mine make shit on it all the time it’s just not my thing. I’m more of a drums, guitar and bass kind of creator. It’s a different process for sure. I’m gonna have to google what an I axe is. Honestly have no idea lol. Anyhow I hope you weren’t insulted. You have a knack for this and it takes balls to post your work. I know.
