Graphics Cards (Call of Duty)
Ok, I want to upgrade my home desktop computer to play the New Call of Duty. Been out of gaming for 20 plus years. Took a look online at Amazon and good grief I have never seen so many cards.

I want to spend around $300, any recommendations?

Pretty cheap. Nvidia 1650. That’s my old one before I upgraded to a 2070 Super.

In America you can get gtx 1080 cheap should be fine for 1080p gaming.

Good luck finding a good mid card. All the crypto miners are snatching them up and driving up the prices, if you can even find one in stock.

Geforce has gotten so expensive that its priced out of comparable market.
For 300 bucks I would go with AMD 5500xt 8gb or 1660 Super 6 gb for Nvidea.

Re: Graphics Cards (Call of Duty)
You have to look for used card, because new one will cost a lot.
3060 next month for 350 bucks but it will be unreal to catch one for recommended price.
1080, 1660 will be enough for cod in 1080p.

Re: Graphics Cards (Call of Duty)
Unfortunately, you won't be able to find any AMD or NVIDIA cards in stock due to high demand from crypto miners, scalpers, and less so gamers.

Problem is more and more people know how to code and are making purchasing bots that auto-buy cards from retailers as soon as they come in stock, then they resell for 50%+ more on ebay.

For $300, you probably want to find an AMD 5600XT -- a newer card that will play COD fine at 1080p with medium settings.

Cards have gotten more and more expensive over the years, crypto is big to blame.

Medium range cards use to be $300, but now they're $500-600, with top cards being $850-1k, and extreme cards being $1500-1800.

I've got an order in for a Nvidia 3080, backordered, no clue when it will ship, and it's more than double than I've ever paid for a graphics card.

CDW.com will accept your orders for backordered cards and will ship whenever it comes in (maybe 1-3 months).

Otherwise, your next best bet is paying above retail on ebay.
