Pence played President today, talking to AF members

Reports were that in his whole speech at the AF base near Fresno (not Vandenburg) he did not mention Trump's name once. As if he, Pence, were the President and Commander in Chief.

And then he "mingled" with the troops for 15 minutes.

WTF is he thinking? Does he think that dressing up in a Navy jacket will make them think he's one of them?
