Add in hometown game and new stadium which tax payers likely funded to some extent, it was obvious that the Rams were going to win. Hometown teams with tax payer funded stadiums just seem to win superbowls.

If the OP's 13-system works again in 2022, then the Super Bowl may be the Broncos vs. Saints or Broncos vs. Cardinals.

The Broncos have played the Saints 12 times, so a meeting in the Super Bowl would be the 13th.

The Broncos have played the Cardinals 11 times. But, they play in the regular season next year for game number 12, and then if they meet in the Super Bowl that would be game 13.

The Cardinals host the Super Bowl next year. That would be the third straight home team hosting. Gas prices will likely be stupid high by next Super Bowl, so the whole "staying at home" theme would still be relevant.
