A bit of Russia for you. Navalny was supposed to return to Vnukovo. Tons of police there and "Illegal for mass gatherings due to Covid" then they closed the whole airport for "snow clearance" Plane landed in Sheremetyevo with a ton of issues in Moscow airspace for thousands of other air passengers in flight. Passengers not being let off the Navalny flight. All in all blatant breaking of all human rights and some Russian laws. Makes me quite so upset really. Quoting: Snuffielover Thank you for your insight and update. You would know better than me. I followed the plane. I thought they would be denied landing and they would be sent to a distant airport. I knew something was up. I saw them making all these rounds. They did not land at Vnukovo. They landed at Sheremtyevo instead and they parked the plane away from the main terminal. The story is already on RT. They are quick to post. Navalny’s plane lands at DIFFERENT Moscow airport after being diverted from Vnukovo where supporters were gathered A plane carrying opposition figure Alexei Navalny, returning to Russia after treatment in Germany, has landed at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo airport after being diverted from Vnukovo, where crowds of his supporters have gathered. Tensions were high at Vnukovo International Airport, located 10 kilometers southwest of Moscow, where a flight from low-cost airline Pobeda with Navalny aboard was initially scheduled to land on Sunday. -50% [ link to www.rt.com (secure)]
