My mom asked me earlier, “What do you think of our new president?”

I answered something like, “Well, he was elected by cheating, so I don’t think he’s a legitimate president.”

That led to her CNN quotes vs my facts. Now she thinks I was part of the Capitol building siege, even though I live in Oregon. And she immediately jumped into defending her stance on getting a vaccine, even though we weren’t even talking about that and we barely talked about that a few months ago. So she jumps to all the CNN talking points, no matter what we’re talking about.
(Sorry if I didn’t explain that right, I’m upset and now drinking. We were talking about the election fraud, and then she said, “Well I’m getting the vaccine!” Like out of nowhere.)

This shit is crazy. I could only possibly preserve our relationship at this point if I lie and discuss what MSM is pushing. Same with my sister, two of my aunts, my cousins, and my neighbors.

I too have a hard time with most of my family. Ive been red pilling for 20+ years so my mom, by now, is partly on board though she trusts her bible more than reason itself and definately more than me.

You think you could be around them and NOT talk about it? If they bring it up say politely " lets not talk politics." If that cant be respected then maybe it IS time to distance yourself. Ive had to do it many times in my past.
