Re: Why do so many Christians fall to hatred?
Because they think they can get involved in matters of the flesh and they are different and it won’t affect them. For instance: politics. It is impossible to be involved in worldly politics and maintain your walk with Christ. People ALWAYS fall into emotional traps and end up hating their enemies instead of loving them. Politics are playing with fire and all the so called Christians are getting burned and walking in the flesh.

I think this thread is yet another backhanded attack on Christians.

As in “look at those hypocritical religious people”

Take that to Twitter or MSNBC.

They will love you for it.

Hatred is evil.

And never forget that kindness to the cruel is cruel to the kind.

Compassion and empathy that are applied way too thickly like a layer of cheap perfume can become nauseating and even harmful after awhile.

Re: Why do so many Christians fall to hatred?
The Lord tells us to love our enemies. Why do so many turn to anger despite God's word?

It doesn't mean we have to accept their evil or surrender to it. But we must never hate them. Hatred is evil. And it only leads to destruction. Only through God's Love will we find victory.

"But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil." - Luke Chapter 6 Verse 35

Yes, but in the Old Testament he orders his people, to kill others not them and exterminate other peoples and enslave their women.

Who do you believe, what is written the front half or the bible or what is written in the new testament alone?

You can't serve two masters?

Which one is it the God who says Hebrews are his chosen people alone and everyone else is cattle or the one Jesus talked about?

Can you work it out?

Why did Jesus not follow the God of the Hebrews yet their religion is in the Bible. Does that make sense?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78258637

Actually they are the same. you are reading faulty translations and incorrect interpretations of Scripture.

When Jesus said "love your enemies", he was not speaking to the world, but fellow Hebrews(his message was to Israel, not the world).
He was giving a alternate course of action rather than following the letter of Mosaic law,(an eye for an eye a tooth for a tooth, Matthew (5:38-42)).
And to who did Mosaic Law apply to?
Not Gentiles, but to fellow Hebrews.
It was their Civil law.

He was not talking "world" politics, but about local disputes between fellow Hebrews.
Just as we might say; "Americans should not fight amongst themselves, but instead forgive and forget."
Basically that is what he was saying.

People take things out of context and make up all sorts of odd interpretations and meanings applied to it.

It's in our nature to judge and hate, everyone struggles with it to an extent. However Truth and Love are strange bedfellows, and can be misinterpreted as hate by retards.

You had an affair with someone.

Why do you teach us about hate, if you yourself don't love your wife?

Some Christians are spiritual infants, some are spiritual toddlers, some are spiritual adolescents, some are full grown spiritual adults (not many), but they are all Christians on their way to being conformed to the image of Christ.

Re: Why do so many Christians fall to hatred?
I fear that hate in general is massively on the rise and it normally comes from within induced bias stress, a lack of control, despair and a lack of hope. I have found myself being more hateful than I ever have before, I don’t mean I go out and storm government buildings I mean my patience wears thin and I can not suffer fools as I once could. It may be from being in lockdown for nearly a year, that can play havoc on you especially if you are a social cat, I get out everyday for at least an hour but there is not much going on so it is very different to how it was for many, Hate can also be brought on through worry, all the people out there worried about their jobs, worried about a pandemic, worried about a civil war, 5G, vaccines. Constantly bombarded with negatives. It is no wonder people hate themselves and what we as a human race have done to this amazing planet. We fucking suck.

Nice Try pal.

The Hebrews killed many people in cold blood because God told them to. Leviticus. They even took captured women because "their women were worn out."

That God is not the God Jesus preached. He was the God Jesus preached against.

In the suppressed gospels you can find available today Jesus is asked why he does not attend Temple with the other Hebrews. He replied because they worship the Demiurge in there.

He preached against their God until the pharisees begged the Roman rulers to have him killed.

400 years later the Roman rulers reinvented the religion altering most of what Jesus taught to what they wanted the people to do, pay 10% of their wages each week and be obedient without question..

Re: Why do so many Christians fall to hatred?
Because we are sinners both before and after choosing faith in Jesus. It’s why he died for us. Because we cannot be redeemed without him.
 Quoting: ><even

Applauds to anyone who seeks the love of God and incorporates the good Bible teachings into their life to be more kind, benevolent, compassionate, patient, forgiving, and respectful to one another.

Question hard any spiritual teachings that put fear in you, belittle you, or make you more confused, because those are not the teachings from the benevolent God of pure unconditional love. Those teachings are more likely from human minds still under the strong grip of the ego that embraces superiority among other things.

God's messages will always be benevolent, encouraging, inspirational, and uplifting, so that we could have a good state of mind to be the best we could be growing up into maturity and higher wisdom.

Is it encouragement or belittlement when we are constantly being told that we are born sinners and unworthy?

Is it uplifting or fearful when we are constantly being told that making any poor choices, due to our immaturity of not knowing any better, will banish us to suffer in a dark place call Hell for eternity?

Is it unity or separation when we are constantly being told that only those who believe in Jesus can be offered a path to a place call Heaven?

In unconditional love, there is no human concepts of rank, hierarchy, or superiority.

Unconditional love will always be inclusive, never exclusive. Exclusivity implies separation and superiority, neither of which can exist in unconditional love.

All the best!

Questions:

When you say "love" what do you mean?
When you say "hate" what do you mean?

How do you define these terms?

There are alot of words being redefined today.
Many define love as
Agreeing with and accepting everything they do and say.
Hate is defined as not agreeing with or not accepting everything they do and say.

People are expecting many to give up reasonable beliefs and convictions in the name of love and unity.

They want everyone on the same page. But here's what people aren't asking:

Just who's page is everyone expected to be on?
