The government lotteries have always been crooked. ALWAYS.
Don't play the government lotteries.
Too bad we can't bring back neighborhood bookies. They were far more honest and if they welched....they got killed. When I was a kid my mother had to cook on a stove where a welching bookie had his faced burned off. He died outside screaming in the snow.
And that is why bookies, unlike govt employees, were generally honest.

Yeah, they might get lucky and hit, but even I listen to other people who know what they are doing. I'd much prefer to bet with a gaming institution than be part of anybody getting their face burned off. Great comments!!!! My father was a big gambler when I was a kid and his favorite thing was the horses. Horses were big then, not so much now. A lot of tracks have closed down or are in bad shape. I used to sit with him and go over the Telegraph (the racing newspaper) and we'd pick out our horses. He bet, of course, but I would just pick out which ones I liked. I had a system when I was about 7 years old. Every horse player has a system, lol. And it worked!!!! More often than not, my horses won. If I'd had money on them, I would have made a nice penny. The numbers pool frequently worked out for us too, even for my grandma. You come out with a number, maybe it's a number you play regularly like your social or phone number etc. Or like my mother, you dream up numbers - she would dream up a number and it would hit! My father would make a few hundreds off these hits and they made a significant impact to us. I wish we could bring horse racing back as long as the horses are treated well. It's a great entertainment and people can actually make some money.
