that "progressive little stalinist staffer" was someone in the Trump admin, as they fired the chief usher and sent the rest of the ushers home early on inauguration day.

it's reported that "Biden" fired him. Therefore Biden would at least KNOW about it....who did he think was going to open the door and let him in? THIS is one of the details that ANY competent incoming President WOULD know about, or SHOULD. At the very least, SOMEBODY should've told Biden, and the staff in charge of these details SHOULD have handled it.

On another note, just how "symbolic" is this, that Biden is "locked out" like he doesn't "belong" there?
