I became really resentful of insurance anyway way back in 2006 when I used it for the first time to get a few dollars worth of hand therapy. I found out if I had paid cash with no insurance it would have been 75 dollars. With insurance, I had to pay 125. dollars that's when I realized the system is a total scam for general health care. They won't pay for th big stuff anyway, they say no or that you "don't need it", and people die. It's a total scam. Just go into debt then negotiate.
