It's not what I would stockpile in preparation for the collapse of society. And you're just gonna end up trying to give me gold for some of my food but I'm afraid you will never have enough silver to buy even a single meal from me. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77458002 until you need something that isn't food One ounce of silver in Venezuela will feed a family of 4 for four months Source? It seems extreme. You can buy 50Lb bag of rice for $32.00. With 1 cup of rice, 5.6 oz., you can cook 1 pot of rice feeding a family of 4 for 1 day. Therefore, 50 Lbs will make 800 oz / 5.6 oz = 142 pots of cooked rice, which is about 4.7 months in the USA. So, it's not extreme. Chinaman |

So hold on to your silver until hyper-inflation sets in and you will be rich ones. Chinaman |

Serious Question bro tim as long as the sellers are not from China you should be good, Morgan Dollars are highly collectible so you have the numismatic value going for you too unless they are Culls. Thank You for the info .... I believe they are all stateside, and I did buy some cull just for the silver but mostly they are good coins , speaking of which the majority seem to bwe very fresh and not well worn which begs the question ,where they much used in that era ? Curious about your thoughts on that .... bro tim |

I had checked last night and they seemed to have them in stock, so I guess there was a run overnight and today. Last Edited by SD64 on 01/31/2021 05:25 PM |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77590476 When you position for a short or a put, you basically sign yourself up for a contract for silver (or whatever) to be at a certain level at the end of the contract. Hedgies cannot just 'get out of the market' because they have essentially bought a market position 'contract' that doesn't expire until a certain date. |

I wouldn't count on the sale if the price goes crazy , They will just cancel the transaction and your money will be tied up in a refund for a few days .
