You said you were very close to closing on the refinance, if they have already done the income verification part you could just play along, sign the paperwork and not say ANYTHING.

Find options that can help you stay in your home, there is something out there I assure you. Since your wife will have extra time on her hands now, she can use it by applying for EVERY program out there if needed.

But I would find out how far into the process the refi is and go with that if possible.

Re: How Many Are Close To A Breaking Point?
Sorry to hear, man. I've interacted with you a couple times and you seem like a solid and smart guy.

I'm pretty sure you already understand this, based on previous conversations, but I'm not sure if you buy into it quite as much as I do.

I think there is another option for us. And I mention it a lot here. Basically withdraw from main society and the system and do not comply. This means you may need to give up many of the perks that come with society, but you also get rid of the tradeoff of being a slave in this system, and the elites are taking society to a very dark place very fast.

I think we can survive on the outskirts. It has been done many times by many groups throughout history. I know this one feels different, as it is the whole world and there is no place to escape to, and they have technology with drones, 5G, AI and more surveillance, but I still think it is possible.

Even if they are successful in moving us to the one world government slave system, which I think is maybe 50/50 (look how fast they are rushing, it seems like panic to get it in before they lose their shot, but I could be wrong), even if they are able, that system will collapse. It may take 20 years, and it could take up to 1,000 years, but it will collapse. If we can survive on the outskirts until then, we can live as God intended outside of their system.

If they come for us, we must defend, but I think there is a decent chance that they don't, and they let us be other than excluding us from their system. And remember, even with their tech, taking a rural population by force has never really been done, it is extremely difficult. What they have done historically is trick people and coerce people into the cities. If we stay rural, it would cost them more than it is worth to come after us all.

This is the hard part: you need to let go of material desires, you need to let go of the idea that the normal of the past is ever coming back. It's not. You either play by their rules and participate in their system and get the rewards for being a good slave, or you live free but without the security and convenience that the system provides.

Once you let go of the desire for what we've already lost, there is a peace. Simpler life, a more fulfilling life lives outside of the material world and this evil system.

Try what the other poster mentioned with forbearance first.

If not, try to sell and move into a rural setup that has a little land, like-minded people, etc., and downgrade your lifestyle a bit to save costs. Start learning to farm, to survive without electricity or minimal electricity, and find skills and outputs that you can trade with people still in the system for the things you can't do without (gas, solar, etc.). You do need a community of some kind, though, however small. I don't think the lone wolf thing is practical (though I used to).

Maybe get a travel trailer if you can live that small to stay mobile and be able to adapt or move to safer zones when the time comes.

These are the choices that it looks like we all will have to make in the next 1-4 years. I still hope something can change our course, but 50/50 means we need to expect the worst while working for the best.

Good luck. My prayers are with you, and we will all likely be where you are soon.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78371956

Thank you for your advice and prayers. I have heavily considered this option before, and I may still pull the trigger if things get worse. My only problem is that I still have my job which does pay well, so I can't move too far away. And I don't live in an area where the rural population is as like-minded as other rural populations in the US.

its the governments fault

they have lied to us

robbed us

and now they are doing whatever in the world they want, making up rules on the spot daily and breaking them.

it is actually worse than if Trudeau, Biden, Johnson woever picked up a machine gun and started blowing our heads off because its silent, not easily detected. But has the same result
 Quoting: James Harrison 79937111

There is certainly a top-down pressure coming from government. They are squeezing us dry until we have nothing left.

But they are also going so fast, that I don't think it's organic. There is a reason we are not seeing here for them to ram as much down our throats as fast as possible.

If you stole an election (via dominion), and you also have full control over the government, then there is no reason to sign Executive Orders as fast as possible. You can take your time looting and pillaging the middle class, because you will never lose another election again and permanently retain your power.

Re: How Many Are Close To A Breaking Point?
There's a story told about how a man got a good job. So he made more money. He thought he could afford all the debt he could get. So he bought a big house and expensive car and all the latest gadgets. Then the inevitable slowdown happens and he can't make his bills and ends up homeless.

While his neighbor did not accumulate debt. He drove a cheaper, older car and bought himself a smaller, cheaper house. He saved his extra income in a jar under the bed.

Then the slowdown hit. His job cut hours and pay. He didn't lose his home because it was paid for. Car too. His savings helped him get through the slowdown and it wasn't long before times became good again. He he went on with his life happy.

You seem to be the first guy. I have always talked trash about those whose debt goes up with his income. It's not too hard to live within your means. People should try it. When I used to smoke cigs I would buy the cheap pipe tobacco and roll my own. I bought my house in a mixed neighborhood so my house was reasonably priced. I'm 52 years old and in less than $20,000 in debt. My son in law makes good money. So he bought a $200,000 house, new cars and a camper. They won't listen to me. No one does. I pray the economy keeps him up, but I don't think it will.

Be smart with your money and these things won't happen to you.

For eons folks have dealt with tragedy by moving to somewhere new to start over. Texas is booming and will continue, also Idaho, Florida in the middle is still dirt cheap too. Most of these places have good job opportunities depending on your qualifications.

foreclosure is the absolute worst thing.

it's worse than you imagine til you go through it, my god you lose EVERYTHING. worst of all your memories, your identity, it's truly like having your soul ripped out of you.

no one cares though, quite the opposite actually, everyone treats you with contempt rather than sympathy if you get foreclosed on,

this is when you realize, Satan is the borg mind. the Borg mind of Satan is collective humanity, collective humanity is what it is, it is pleasure seeking, fun seeking pain avoidance, it has a plan and a purpose and if you fall out of that collective plan and purpose, you life is over, kaput,if the collective borg Satan god rejects you, you have died.

there is nothing outside the collective borg deity. the oddsd of finding another borg diety you fit into, in another town, once you've been rejected from one, is not good.

So that is an option.

One of the big problems is the appraisers have been coming from out of the area, and then they are appraising the house for less than what we paid for (which is much less than the original appraisal when we purchased the house). So I have had to pay out of pocket to hire additional appraisers to just try to get the original value before the purchase and all the upgrades we have implemented. The point is we will definitely do that if we can, but it might not even get to that point if this last appraiser is like the previous ones.

It's extremely infuriating to have some random 'expert' come from 60 miles away into the neighborhood for the first time and leave devaluing your property by $40,000 just because he says so.

Re: How Many Are Close To A Breaking Point?
I'm posting this because I know I am becoming ever closer to reaching my own breaking point. My wife just lost her job today, which means our refinance falls through, which means we won't get $400 a month lower payments, which means we can't afford our current payment.

I'm not making this thread for sympathy, because glp is certainly not the place for that.

I'm making this thread because if it's happening to me and my household, then I guarantee it is happening to many households nationwide, and also I do need to vent a little. More and more people are falling to the ranks of the unemployed every day thanks to Covid combined with Biden policies. The situation is not going to recover anytime soon. Covid restrictions are becoming more strict, and Biden policies are irrational and insane (just like Biden!).

If it's happening nationwide, then not everyone is intelligent/logical enough to peacefully deal with adapting to a new situation and make life changes. If this is the case, then we very well may reach a tipping point or breaking point where people are willing to do anything to provide for their family (especially things that were previously off-limits in a civil society).

If there is one thing that 2020 taught us, it is that liars, cheaters, and thieves win. And if that is the lesson other people who lose their incomes see, then there will be an increase in liars, cheaters, and thieves among the populace and a potential breakdown of civil society.

Disclaimer: I am not advocating violence nor is violence my mode of operandi in a breaking point. I am just making an observation of cause/effect relationships in society.

The elites have really broken you people. You thought you were normal. You thought you were protected. You thought you lived in a "free" country.

But if you only read the sentences that I made bold you will realize WHY things are this way, and why the assholes win.

It's because GOOD people don't give a shit. They proved that with covid. Sorry OP, I don't give a shit about your situation just like you and the rest of the community didn't give a shit when I was almost homeless.

Now I"m the one sitting pretty not giving a DAMN.

Enjoy the SHOW.

just wait til they start looting the hedgefunds, holy shit

there's gonna be so many rich people losing their big fancy mansions and beautiful estates.

probably estates that have been in the family for hundred years, the globalists have been drooling over this for soo long I bet.

that's the problem with real estate, if people aren't selling it you can't buy it

you can steal it with fake money if they ain't sellin it

now they're gonna be sellin it because the Hedgefunds are GONE,

This!!!

I just drove by our hospital here and it’s empty and we’re locked down
again since December 26! I haven’t seen my kids in a year either and I had a boyfriend across the border (live in a border town) and we broke up because it’s tough to have a relationship when you can’t see each other for a year. I planned on buying a house where I am, but I’m fearful they might shut down the mine where I work if Covid gets on site because it happened to another one not far from ours.

Yes I’m at my breaking point today, I’m so sorry OP, I think almost everyone has been hit in someway by all of this. I know I’ve shed lots of tears, especially during Christmas this year, it was so hard.

Yup been a few months. Thank the Lord I have no children to worry about, just my Pomeranian. But yeah I hit the breaking point, and am still living there. I have begun talks with the Mexican Consulate in SLC, about emigrating to Mexico. Not that it would be much better, but at least it is obvious there who the enemy actually is.

They only appear to win if you look at a short enough time line. When you zoom out, you see the real picture. Nothing in this world matters except those who you love and those who love you. When the rest of the world matters it's because you are reacting to the programming. They thrive on compartmentalization. Just look at how they have everything set up. When you remove the compartmentalization and see how everything is connected, you begin to realize that what is happening right here and now is just a tiny spec of reality. But you have to CHOOSE to zoom out. That is what derails the desperation and hopelessness.

I have always prided myself on being the second guy. My problem is I started too late in life. For the first time in my life (late 30s) I was in a position to purchase a house AND save money. So I did just that two years ago. The first year I monitored all expenses closely to make sure we were fine, and we were doing great. The second year I was going to aggressively pay off the debt...and then Covid hit and now this.

My point is just because you do plan, save, and spend money wisely doesn't make you immune to being crushed. Those things are good habits that may help you survive and recover for WHEN it DOES happen to you.

I will most likely sell my house before I go into foreclosure for those reasons.

I did negotiate a very good price on my home when we purchased, so I could make a small profit even though I've only been here for two years.

Bamboo is strong not because it breaks when pressure is applied but because it bends and absorbs the external pressure and then rebounds and rights itself when the moment is available.

all this namby pamby bullshit goes right out the window when you are faced with sheriff's department acting as court goons for Bank mafia.

you all are surprised the police will enforce anything and turn on the people, i got news for you.

they been throwin people out of their homes by the millions for decades and nobody ever said a thing about it. that's what they do. it's never in the news, it's never in the police blotter, it's censored, completely.

it's effectively kept secret, out of mind.

Lighten up and like half the nation, stop paying your bills. Aint nothing no one going to do about it. Meanwhile, find jobs you can do at home, many. Should have done this a year ago, Its going to get worse before it gets better.

These liars cheaters and thieves, know the Americans aren't going away. Instead they will need to leave. <suck it up and get busy>

The problem is I do have a good job (university professor non-tenure) so I have to pretend to be a good government employee and cheer on the Covid restrictions.

Of course, now that my wife is unemployed, I might have to give her some chemistry lessons, since she will have plenty of free time to set up jobs from home.

Wow, I was starting to feel bad for withholding my pity, but now I'll double down and say you fucking deserve it.

Say what you want, but one faculty has already been fired for voicing opinions on the covid craziness.

Ironically, it was an immunologist who was saying masks are pointless and the virus isn't as serious as the government is making it out to be.

I just go in, keep my head down, and do my job (like most of the people in this country)
 Quoting: Zedakah

I'm in the same position as you, got a good paying job, but I'm a laborer.
I hate it most of the time. Working with almost all liberals who absolutely hate Trump and most of them know that I'm a Trump supporter.
My daughter and my Mother have both been so brainwashed by the media that they are begging for the vaccine
I've cut them both off emotionally and the daughter, financially.
I just can't deal with the possibility of my daughter dying from stupidity and brainwashing.
She's been in college for a biology degree for friggin years now and I've paid for her phone, her car insurance and the occasional emergency and baby sat her dogs all the damn time. No more. She called my ignorant and said that's she's a biologist and is much smarter than me
Meanwhile I've sacrificed my body to labor for the past few years paying for this ungrateful little shit who has taken friggin almost NINE years to get a Biology Degree and who now calls me ignorant, and I AM, OBVIOUSLY.
And in the meantime the job is killing my soul most days
One of the rat Nazi bitches from LA ratted out a coworker recently for taking off his mask while in a bucket 40 feet in the air, all by himself.
A boss told me on Jan 6, before he or anyone knew about ANTIFA being there that they should have mowed them all down with a machine gun!
I'm about to break too because My daughter seems intent on maiming or killing herself and I didn't raise her that way.
I friggin drive an hour each way to get her non iradiated milk for God's sake.
She ate nothing but organic for the first 26 years of her life.
She throwing it all away, so, I'm having a beer when I quit drinking years ago.
But I do truly believe that this will all have a happy ending.
I believe. I can't change what had happened and I can no longer reach my family members. They are gone already and I just have to let them go
I'm not going anywhere though. Just going to better myself.
I truly believe that the best is yet to come.
Thanks for posting Op! Needed to get that off my chest and hubbie thinks I'm crazy so I can't talk to him right now

Trump was president for 4 years but it's not his fault. Biden is president for about 1 week and it's all his fault.

Mods feel free to delete if you think this post will cause "problems".

IMHO, violence is the only thing we have left.

Why do you think EVERY right wing pundit ISN'T "advocating violence"?

We let the process play out; we "trusted the plan", we waited on the courts, (who folded too) and now we have a ccp handpuppet for a leader.

and these MORANS saying "wait till 2022!"

What makes you think THEY will LET you win in 2022?!!

FFS! Talk about the 2A all you want, but if you let a stolen election pass, what good ids the 2nd???

someone tell me I'm wrong, i'll listen if you don't act like a d-bag about it.

Heck, I might fight harder for my blind cat than if I had kids (unless it was a blind kid).

That said, check into Ecuador. They actually use the U.S. dollar as their currency and so your money goes a little farther there.

Remember all those $1 Sacagawea coins they minted a few decades ago to try and introduce into our currency?

Well they ALL ended up in Ecuador and they love them down there. Everything is a dollar because of that, and everyone uses those coins for most transactions. Street food? Always a dollar coin. Clothing? Usually a dollar for a t-shirt. Their local economies revolve around that Sakagawea coin.

Yep, heard somewhere that they have brought us our knees finally and they’re not going to let that go!
