Re: How Many Are Close To A Breaking Point?
all I can say is if you go into foreclosure, WATCH OUT.

the real estate vipers will absolutely PREY on you like they smell blood, if you know what 'crisis actors' are, you will see them run this game, people show up all over the place, trying to talk your house down in price, they're all freemasons, they're all part of a satanic cult.

you go to lawyers, they are all in on it too, it's the most bizarre thing you've ever seen and you'll never see it untl you are in this situation, THIS is what it's ALL about that's why. once you are the prey of hell, the whole fucking Truman show turns into a nightmare, once you have become SAtan's victim they want you SILENCED and GONE, DEAD
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 70987562

I will most likely sell my house before I go into foreclosure for those reasons.

I did negotiate a very good price on my home when we purchased, so I could make a small profit even though I've only been here for two years.
 Quoting: Zedakah

hey just remember if you just add one little thing, like a stupid statue or nice mailbox , or paint it the price will go up like $10,000 or more, people are crazy , if there's one little defect like a missing lightbulb they'll think it's worth $10,000 less, real estate is super superficial and the realtors don't necessarily want to get you the best price, they just want to sell it FAST so they will tell you to sell it for a shitty price, real state agents do not want to spend months trying to sell your house for a good price, I was totally naive about that. they want to sell it and sell it QUICK for the fast commission because even though they may get a little more for a higher price, they don't want to mess with it for a long time and potentially take it off the market if they don't sell it for a good price.

DON"T let them tell you what the price should be, rule #1

you tell them the price and if they act like it's too much, KICK THEM OUT THE DOOR IMMEDIATELY,

you know what the house is worth more than they do.

and don't let THEM appraise it, it's ALL about telling you your house is worth less than it is.

they are snakes, the real estate business is serpents.

I’m not at al close to the breaking point. I’m thriving and happy because I’m the bamboo, like that person said. I’m the bamboo and I decided I’m no longer going to be “the hunted.” I am the hunter. We are all hunters and we outnumber, outsmart, and outperform these hedge fund fucks and these political elitist fucks vastly. When we organize and communicate and help each other remember our power, we will no longer consider breaking as being an option. Things are happening fast now as we all have the scent of blood in our noses, we know we’ve uprooted the status quo in the financial markets and it’s snowballing into a huge multi-party worldwide movement. We can never go back now, this party has just begun. What a time to be alive!

Mods feel free to delete if you think this post will cause "problems".

IMHO, violence is the only thing we have left.

Why do you think EVERY right wing pundit ISN'T "advocating violence"?

We let the process play out; we "trusted the plan", we waited on the courts, (who folded too) and now we have a ccp handpuppet for a leader.

and these MORANS saying "wait till 2022!"

What makes you think THEY will LET you win in 2022?!!

FFS! Talk about the 2A all you want, but if you let a stolen election pass, what good ids the 2nd???

someone tell me I'm wrong, i'll listen if you don't act like a d-bag about it.

I will take your post and say that from an objective cause and effect standpoint, that every country that has come into existence has done so through the sword.

Thus, it makes logical sense for just about every current government to demonize violence, because they know that is how authority is beholden.

As long as you are talking about history and cause and effect relationships, then your posts generally won't get taken down.

The previous owner ripped all the bushes from the front lawn before they left. I actually think that is the main reason the house went unsold for so long, and I was able to snatch up a good deal. Because it did make the front yard look unappealing compared to the neighbors.

$200 later and I have bushes in front of the house and the 'value' went up just from that.

Re: How Many Are Close To A Breaking Point?
You said you were very close to closing on the refinance, if they have already done the income verification part you could just play along, sign the paperwork and not say ANYTHING.

Find options that can help you stay in your home, there is something out there I assure you. Since your wife will have extra time on her hands now, she can use it by applying for EVERY program out there if needed.

But I would find out how far into the process the refi is and go with that if possible.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75502793

So that is an option.

One of the big problems is the appraisers have been coming from out of the area, and then they are appraising the house for less than what we paid for (which is much less than the original appraisal when we purchased the house). So I have had to pay out of pocket to hire additional appraisers to just try to get the original value before the purchase and all the upgrades we have implemented. The point is we will definitely do that if we can, but it might not even get to that point if this last appraiser is like the previous ones.

It's extremely infuriating to have some random 'expert' come from 60 miles away into the neighborhood for the first time and leave devaluing your property by $40,000 just because he says so.
 Quoting: Zedakah

Probably another corrupt industry working with the banks we can add to our list. I paid 18% mortgage rate in 1988. Had to have 20% down. Lost $10,000 more in 3 years when we went to sell according to "market" price. (140 down to 130). Plus the upgrades we put in within that time.

Re: How Many Are Close To A Breaking Point?
I'm posting this because I know I am becoming ever closer to reaching my own breaking point. My wife just lost her job today, which means our refinance falls through, which means we won't get $400 a month lower payments, which means we can't afford our current payment.

I'm not making this thread for sympathy, because glp is certainly not the place for that.

I'm making this thread because if it's happening to me and my household, then I guarantee it is happening to many households nationwide, and also I do need to vent a little. More and more people are falling to the ranks of the unemployed every day thanks to Covid combined with Biden policies. The situation is not going to recover anytime soon. Covid restrictions are becoming more strict, and Biden policies are irrational and insane (just like Biden!).

If it's happening nationwide, then not everyone is intelligent/logical enough to peacefully deal with adapting to a new situation and make life changes. If this is the case, then we very well may reach a tipping point or breaking point where people are willing to do anything to provide for their family (especially things that were previously off-limits in a civil society).

If there is one thing that 2020 taught us, it is that liars, cheaters, and thieves win. And if that is the lesson other people who lose their incomes see, then there will be an increase in liars, cheaters, and thieves among the populace and a potential breakdown of civil society.

Disclaimer: I am not advocating violence nor is violence my mode of operandi in a breaking point. I am just making an observation of cause/effect relationships in society.

you know what my advice to you is?

hold out as long as you possibly can. don't rush to sell your house, the PNC bank threatens you with all these legal fees, they threaten to kick the shit out of you while you're on the ropes.

but hold on, because if you sell early and then something happens that you could have kept your house you will regret it soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much.

take in a fucking renter fer fuck sakes, ANYTHING is better than losing your house.

Anyways realize this is what the majority of lawyers are employed doing, this kind of shit. if you ever wondered why people hate lawyers, you will find out what scum of the earth they are and most of them are employed to prey on the people.

And of course, school closures and people who miss out of town family. It’s getting so bad.

There is certainly a top-down pressure coming from government. They are squeezing us dry until we have nothing left.

But they are also going so fast, that I don't think it's organic. There is a reason we are not seeing here for them to ram as much down our throats as fast as possible.

If you stole an election (via dominion), and you also have full control over the government, then there is no reason to sign Executive Orders as fast as possible. You can take your time looting and pillaging the middle class, because you will never lose another election again and permanently retain your power.

Re: How Many Are Close To A Breaking Point?
another piece of advice for OP is, nobody will EVER tell you what the fuck the law is.

it's like all a secret, everything they tell you is a lie.

nobody knows what the fuck the law is and the reason is, it's whatever the bank lawyer say it is and the bank lawyers don't want you to know anything, the courts AND police department are on the bank's side, BUT just remember all they care about is getting their money so just find a way to get the money

do NOT waste money on a fucking lawyer just send whatever money you got to the bank to pay off , some lawyer will want $2000 just to file bankruptcy when you are already obviously broke

HOWEVER if you KNOW a lawyer who can help you out and doesn't need money til you maybe get back on your feet and will take whatever you can afford, definitely it's a good thing

at least consult a lawyer and find if there's a good one not too expensive but i think most of them totally hate you because you're obviously broke, they will see you as just a loser

I will. I am in no rush, but it is still something I will consider. If there are layoffs throughout the country, then more people will sell than buy, which will drive real estate down. So...if I am among the first to sell before the bubble bursts, then it is to my benefit to sell early. But I will still watch and monitor before making any rash decisions (especially locally).

Also, my father was a law professor for 50 years, so I know all I ever need to know about lawyers. On the plus side, I do have some good legal connections.

But if you only read the sentences that I made bold you will realize WHY things are this way, and why the assholes win.

It's because GOOD people don't give a shit. They proved that with covid. Sorry OP, I don't give a shit about your situation just like you and the rest of the community didn't give a shit when I was almost homeless.

Now I"m the one sitting pretty not giving a DAMN.

Now is the time to repent of your sins and learn to hear the voice of the Lord. You may not get tomorrow.

Re: How Many Are Close To A Breaking Point?
What a time to be alive!

its the governments fault

they have lied to us

robbed us

and now they are doing whatever in the world they want, making up rules on the spot daily and breaking them.

it is actually worse than if Trudeau, Biden, Johnson woever picked up a machine gun and started blowing our heads off because its silent, not easily detected. But has the same result

Here’s the problem though, almost everyone believes what’s happening is for the greater good, so we’d be fighting them to. People really are turning in their neighbours here. I’ve been called selfish for my concern over the economy rather then a life saved.

Just like my colleague who is (was) an EXPERT in the field of immunology getting 'let go' because he dared question the Covid narrative. He was just trying to warn people with actual scientific evidence, and it cost him his job.

He didn't have tenure, BUT, the university put in some sort of clause that tenured faculty *could* be fired for refusal to comply with covid restrictions.

Yes, I agree sir with your well put observations and assessment.

Re: How Many Are Close To A Breaking Point?

 Quoting: Zedakah

they act like once you owe 2 months you can't make payments anymore you have to pay it all BUT you CAN and should continue making the payments,

because then if you are only one month behind it makes them look like dicks for foreclosing , the judge will be like 'oh he's only one payment short' although that's pretty naive to think the judge gives a fuck , I never made it to court but I'd guess that's the situation, the court works for the bank but

anyways yeah lawyers can give you more time that's about it so is the money you pay them worth the extra time? that's all you gotta figure out

Re: How Many Are Close To A Breaking Point?
I have had my life ruined for nearly 29 years now, so i am well past point of no return.

I was stalked all through out 1990's, and then when net came along, they took there stalking to the net to drive me up the wall.

Never worked.

People are horrible, and if you have a thin skin they will drive you up the wall.

Lots of us were living with our lifes ruined long before last year, its only last year most people learn how it feels.

If you got to live a life, good for you, many do not.

The world is a cruel place, and the nasty ones are very good at using themselves and others like them to destroy anyone they want, and everyone believes them.

Just remember when your going through bad times, your not the only one, it does help to appreciate this, as people will play on such illusions a person can have to destroy you.

Its disgusting, but thats life.

For op, always remember that lots of others are having it bad too, and it does help. If you start feeling isolated, and believe its only you, then it can get to you.
 Quoting: Anon1234inthesky1

I've been in a very similar situation. Long before covid.

The first thing I realised is that covid is almost the same as being stalked and that now everyone is having the same experience.

I entirely concur with all your observations. Thank you for articulating these things so well.

Except perhaps that it's not the world that is cruel - it's people. Most people are cruel, far more cruel than most people dare to think.
