There really isn't the same opportunities for everyone around the country. I bet a majority of the country lives paycheck to paycheck. There is an effort to diminish the middle class. The American dream isn't true you can work 40+ hours a week at a job that should give you some sense of importance then when you factor in Car payments car insurance, rent, electricity gas and heating bills,, Food, drinks, How much is really left to have a ilife now with inflation and cover everyone is raising prices.. If OP is such a genius whats the secret. Can't invest in the stock market if You live paycheck to paycheck. My income would be considered 'low' - I only make CAD$23k a year and I'm 24. I'm ALWAYS working, and looking for ways to improve my living conditions, health, education and income. I'm not complaining by any means - I work on my family farm and manage my money surprisingly comfortably with no debt. Am I poor? Maybe. But I consider myself rich and blessed by God. The sad thing is, alot of people make what I make (or more) are in perfect health, living way beyond their means, have no ambition, make no sacrifices and then cry and whine when they don't have anything to show. If OP is talking about these people - who produce nothing but good excuses instead of reaping and ploughing the fruits of their labour (or at least making some financially sound investments) piss me off! If I can pay my monthly expenses, without even going into debt, on less than $2400/mo - than either I'm just extremely lucky and miraculously good with money or MAYBE you (the philosophical 'You') need to evaluate how you're living your life, spending your money, and making your money! (And what you're doing with your free-time)
