YES, there are several main types of asteroids:

1. Carbonaceous chondrites which could be burned out comet nuclei. Lots of water and volatiles which can be used for rocket fuel or propellants.

2. Nickel-iron asteroids which are high in valuable nickel as well as other metallic elements.

3. Stony-iron asteroids which can be used for radiation shielding and have metals that can be mined.

Or, we could get lucky and hit a Motherlode asteroid with lots of gold, silver, uranium, etc.
