these guys really wanted to talk shit to each other then build a p2p chat forum app.

Use an appache server just as a directory .Everything dumped and nothing saved on a main server.

all these websites and private messages these days get saved to the server. Better to build one yourself that once you verify the directory multiple pc's just link directly together.

I remember when Yahoo! Instant Messenger did not offer such a service until after Yahoo! Instant Messenger started to lose a bunch of people to AIM, MSN Messenger, and others. As one of the die hard YIM users who stupidly uploaded their entire IM history to YIM's servers within a year of that service becoming available I do not doubt one bit the Hybrid AI at least has my younger self's "everything" from back then. Back in my heyday on YIM I had over two hundred Friends over half of who I actually did regularly chat with. I simply wanted to be able to have an accurate IM history I could count on since my main computer back then was not exactly reliable.
