Not all diamonds are worth lots of money as they have used diamonds as an industrial product for a long time for a variety of uses such as drill bits, in some laser technology.

Someone mentioned that diamonds can be made in an industrial process, but still an expensive process and requiring lots of energy so this is still used to provide the consumer type so not feasible for the potential here.

An interesting use of the waste product from nuclear technology but I can imagine it is still awhile before it can be utilized much less acceptable to the general population from the fear of the waste, and the safety issues involved

You need to use the diamond to heat water to boiling, then use a stream turbine and generator to convert that heart energy into electricity.

P.s. steam turbine loops can reach up into the low 70% thermodynamic efficiency range which is quite literally the best thermodynamic performance we've got so you're just wrong about everything you said.

Problem is tritium has a short half life, is immensely industrially and militarily useful, and isn't actually produced in anywhere near enough quantity for the current uses we have for it as is.

distractions to keep you away from fusor fusion tech.simple to build,simple to shield,fuel forever.

There's a few interesting and cheapish solutions that feel like if you just put them together in the right combination you're golden.

That said, nuclear battery tech like this is actually still really viable and useful though.

Assuming you can get the efficiency up enough for example you could have forever optic batteries for your rifle. That would be immensely useful.
