A little true story that highlights the difference between darkened and enlightened thinking..

Hundreds of years ago the open air fireplace was introduced across Europe....which is the least efficient method of burning wood. It became fashionable to have one. As such, it soon depleted the forests and choked valleys in smoke. The traditional open air fireplace does not efficiently burn wood hence all the smoke and it is a poor source of heat....so what happened? They used up all the forests as it takes huge quantities of wood

Those primarily in Scandinavian countries realised the error...and instead of throwing out the baby with the bath water ....they simply reverted to their prior heating source of mass burners which were nearly 100 percent efficient at burning wood and its smoke....

By this example we can see that any call to ban wood burning stoves is tantamount to throwing out the baby with the bath water and is unnecessary, unjustified and totally indicative of darkened thinking.

Not only can't we have fires (unless you have special wood at high prices lol) they are going to rip out our gas central heating here in the UK soon, and replace it with smart heating, meaning they put some silly pipes underground and you have to gain some kind of tiny heat from that! It was minus 5 here this winter.

Lol will never happen. There are too many people, rural folks, that live on acres of hardwood trees and have been heating with wood for generations. I'm rural, secluded, remote. I use propane, but that's not cheap. Neighbor uses propane for water heater, cooking, but uses a lot of wood for heating. Uses propane too when it gets extra cold. My first winter here I'm averaging 6 gallons of propane during the fall/winter months so far. My neighbor harvests maple syrup and uses wood to boil it down or whatever they do. He had a couple huge piles. He's not going to stop.
