Where it's super cold, the birds benefit so much from suet. I put out two large cakes and one is already gone. Will be putting out two more this weekend!
Quoting: LaGata Yeah, I have had to refill my feeders a few times myself. They just can't find food in this temp. The ground is covered in most places and where it isn't covered, it's too frozen for them to forage for insects. Their lives are literally in the hands of thoughtful humans.
