Needless deaths. When does Joe Biden tour the area to assess the damage. Where is the national guard?

"It's not like they didn't know this was coming," Henry said. "The forecast said the ice storm was in the forecast for at least a week prior to the event."

At least a week notice and nobody made preparations to protect themselves and their loved ones. The fault lies on those who rely on others for their safety and security instead of taking measures into their own hands.

I doubt many were planning for the entire state to lose power for nearly a week or longer. Build homes with fireplaces and you wont have this problem...

Correct. No reason to not have a stove or fireplace. Youtube is full of diy videos on how to make them.

Anyway, first thing that comes to mind is, what do they need a refrigerated truck for. It's cold in Texas, no?

If there is money still to be had (Why is our Government and all Governments incentivising anyone to find CORONA) They will find a way to classify their cause of death to COVID.

surely 23 people would have died - with or without the storm - in that time period ...

and of course - we KNOW --- it's all Biden's fault

lol that was my thought as well.

I don't mean it with malice either. Comedy is a tool with which to deal with stress and difficult emotion. I have friends and family in Texas.

But still... who needs a refrigerated truck in TX right now?

Want to help with brownouts? Unplug your fridge. It's cold enough in a lot of those homes to keep the food from spoiling.

COVID

There is no way you could die from anything else

Just leave the bodies outside. Its cold enough. You don't need refrigerated trucks, yet.

Supposed to warm up into the 70s this weekend

Might be more deaths before then, sadly

Again I ask where is the national guard and the red cross?

Texans, are you seeing any signs of disaster assistance?

Just neighbors going out of their way to cut/deliver wood, open their homes, deliver food/water, provide essentials, etc. to others in the community (all at no cost) that either didn't prepare or have been particularly hard hit.

Some homes in our subdivision have been without power for over 24 hours, others are on a 1 hour on/1 hour off schedule.

We also have elderly and people with babies that thought they were prepared, but found themselves in a tighter spot than they anticipated.
"The more you know, the less you fear."

RIP, Tandym.

No, it's back above freezing here in Galveston county.

At one point 94 percent of the power was out for 48 hours in 18 degree temps next to the ocean.

Cold as fuck.

People were pissed cause the grocery stores were closed.

Illidan Storage says they were not prepared.

I was one of the lucky ones with power and internet the whole time. Have fireplace and wood, stacks of tp, water, and food.

I was prepared.
