A hefty tax that must be paid every year? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75240732 It does not infringe on any rights. That would backfire, pun intended... People can reload their own ammo and those who can't will buy it under the table... I never forgive and I never forget I am a licensed firearm holder. I will, under protection of law, use lethal force if attacked. |

It would also destroy sport shooting and kill the whole gun industry causing job loss... I never forgive and I never forget I am a licensed firearm holder. How about they tax the shit out of certain types of speech? Or maybe tax each breath you take? Can't afford another breath, off to the extermination camps you go. Still feel like it's not an infringement? |

If you make it a "Rich Man's Hobby" like it is in Europe and other places, you eliminate the whole "We the people" for which the Constitution was intended. Several laws on the books already are like that, and we need no more laws. Here's one glaring example of classism- The Firearms Owners Protection Act of 1986 (the irony of the name...ugh) banned the private ownership of automatic weapons manufactured after the date it was passed, so to get a license to own an automatic weapon one would have to first find one that was manufactured before 1986. So, with no new guns being made for civilians, the price of those old guns skyrocketed - Eventually all you had to choose from were old, beat up and worn out rifles with hefty $10-$20k price tags. They wanted to keep selective fire weapons out of the hands of the poor, and they succeeded with that bill. |

Just wait till everyone just 3D prints their ammo and firearms. Gov can’t tax sh** Quoting: Anonymous Coward 73490142 Available only to a few and wait until you put down Tyrone doing a home invasion murder run in your house. You get caught with what you put Tyrone down with, you will be sent to big black co*k prison with all of Tyrones buddies and relatives. Communist think tanks paid for with our money have thought exactly how all of this will be accomplished. For decades. |
