Re: Weirdest thing you ever saw in your life?
It was my 50th birthday and my dear friends and I had arranged to have lunch and go and see the the movie 'Knowing' , which co- incidentally was released in Australia on my birthday date.

On that day we all met at a friends house to begin my birthday adventure.
My daughter was to also join me for lunch.

Suddenly my cell put out an emergency bleep and text.

I thought it was weird but paid little attention as my friends were giving me my birthday gifts.

One of those gifts was a smooth black stone with the word ' Believe' engraved on it.

We then proceeded to go and have my pe- movie birthday lunch.

My daughter hadn't arrived and I then recieved a call from her telling me a friend of her's had been in a serious car accident and that she was at the hospital and couldn't come to lunch.

After lunch we then went to watch the movie.

In the movie a time capsule is brought up after 50 years.
My 50th birthday
Movie released on the day of my birthday.

The movie is about a cataclysmic even happening to the earth and the precognition of a small girl and her writing of sequences of numbers that are eventually deciphered and correspond to the foretelling of other catastrophes , which lead up and are markers of this event.

Children are contacted telepathically by light beings and are rescued from the planet.

The last scene of the movie shows the leading actors on a beach covered in smooth round black stones ( my birthday gift ) .

You tell me what that all means.

Re: Weirdest thing you ever saw in your life?
About 13 years ago, I was going into a store to go grocery shopping.
The store had automatic sliding glass doors, and as I was approaching the entrance, I could see the store was fairly busy.
As I walked through the sliding doors, everything came to a sudden halt except for me. Whatever position people were in when this happened, reaching for an item on a shelf, talking to one another, pushing carts, etc, completely froze, and all the voices and sounds stopped as well, and that lasted for about 20 seconds, and just as suddenly as it froze, movement, voices, etc resumed.
It was exactly like those time freezing scenes in the XMen movies.
It blew me away, but in a good way.

Saw a Sasquatch when I was 5.

It was looking right at me from behind some bushes only 20 feet away. I was fishing on the shore of a small pond in the mountains of Washington state.

My Aunt and Uncle didn't see anything but I sure the hell did!

Later I went back to the spot where it was and an entire tree stump was shredded. He was probably eating grubs when I walked up with my fishing pole.

Only big holes left in the moss where it was standing.
No discernable footprint shapes but they were huge imprints all around.

I know none of you will believe me but I don't give a flying fuck.

Re: Weirdest thing you ever saw in your life?
Years ago I followed a page on facebook called "Prayers for Christopher". Christopher and his family had been on their way home from a little league game, when, while sitting at a red light a tractor trailer plowed into their car and pretty much ran over Christopher. He remained in a coma for years. His mother would post videos of him and keep everyone updated. Long story short, Christopher died like 4 years later. His mother, understandably was devastated. She made her grief and devastation very public on facebook. It was heart breaking.

I didn't know her, never talked to her, just followed the page and prayed for her. One night while praying God showed me Christopher running in a beautiful green field, with wildflowers, and other children running in front of him.

I was awake, when I saw this. The colors, the warmth, the light, they were literally out of this world. The same way people that have near death experiences describe heaven.

Then God spoke to me, he told me to tell Christopher's mother that Christopher is okay. Tell her "who better to care for her child than the Father of all His children". And he said, to tell her not to worry about Christopher waiting too long for her to get there. That there's no such thing as "time" there (in heaven) because time is infinite.

Well, the next day, I knew I had to message Christopher's mother on facebook. I didn't know what to say, would she think I was some kind of freak or something? Around 2 pm I got the nerve up to finally message her.

She responded immediately and told me that she has been praying to God to send her a message that Christopher was okay. She believed that God had answered her prayers. (I did too.) She was very emotional.

About 2 months later, she was night fishing on a stream with 2 other people when the canoe tipped and they fell in. The other 2 survived, she drowned, in what everyone described as a "freak" accident.

Yeah, but I know a guy who poops through his penis. You might think I'm making this up, but I'm dead serious.

He had prostate cancer and decided to have cryogenic prostate surgery. Well, the doctors effed up big time. He ended up with a major infection in most of his organs down there and in his pelvis. Then his colon somehow fused to his urethra and he started pooping out of his penis. The pain was horrible and he wouldn't eat because he didn't want to poop. He lost 80 lbs. He was hospitalized for a very long time and came very close to death several times. He now pee's and poops in a bag, all of his plumbing down there was destroyed.

I saw a Tire fall straight down from the sky and hit the road and bounced a couple stories in the air. saw it come back down in the rear view and it bounced away.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80037078

My daughter and I were driving down a rural road about 3 weeks ago, behind a flatbed trailer being towed by a pickup.

The flatbed was full of tied-down bee boxes, obviously in use, by the detritus hanging out of them.

At about 50 mph, said trailer throws a tire clean off, and it continues to bounce and roll next to said vehicle for a bit, before it hits a rock or something and veers left, nearly hitting an oncoming car.

Said car screeches the breaks and honks. Bee truck in front of us does not sliw down, at all, despite the spark show going on on that rim.

We follow for about 5 miles to the next stop light, pull up next to him, get him to roll down the window, and fill him in.

He reigns being shocked.

The lught turns green and he makes the left, sparking all the way, onto the highway entrance ramo, billions of bees on board.

Re: Weirdest thing you ever saw in your life?
I've never seen anything weird. But if you live in that America, you see weird shit every day.

Any weird stories? Cheers.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 22482927

It was about twenty years ago. I was 17. I was in my parents hot tub outside staring at the stars for 6 hours straight. It was cold. It was beautiful. Nothing was happening in the sky. I was staring at one small cluster of stars in particular. My eyes didn't move for six hours.

Around 3am... I start to get emotional. I start talking to God for the very first time, out loud. I was not religious.
I did not believe in God. Tears are streaming down my face as I speak and I said something similar to this...

"God, I hate my life. My family doesn't love me. I have no friends. I feel alone on this planet and I don't want to do this anymore. I want the pain to end. I don't want to be alive anymore... But, if you would give me a sign that you were listening to me... I think I could feel better and realize everything will be okay..."

Now... What happened next is the weirdest thing I ever saw. Literally one second after I finished talking... At EXACTLY the spot I was staring at for six hours... There began a meteor shower where I saw 200-300 shooing stars over like a minute.

The meteors made me feel euphoric. It felt like drugs. It felt like I was being shot with bullets... Except the bullets were like a crazy drug rush.

Once it was over... I was kind of in awe... A little scared... All that stuff youd expect to feel if you met God.

After thinking about this day for twenty years, I can assume one of three things happened.

_____________________________________

1) it was God

2) it was not God. It just randomly happened exactly to the second I needed a miracle to not want to die.

3) it was not God. It was a hallucination. During times of extreme emotions your body can produce hallucinations.

_____________________________________

My thoughts. I think choice #2 is definitely wrong. I'm convinced I saw it because I asked for a miracle. I lean toward choice #3 being the correct answer(but not completely convinced). My experiences with LSD have shown me just how much what we perceive can be modified by our brain chemistry. I was an absolute emotional wreck that day long so. This coupled with my losing all faith in humanity in recent years... God is not here. This world is godless.

Perhaps you need to change your definition of "God". God is everywhere, everywhen, everywhy. God is the good and the bad. You are God, as a subset of a set is still a part of the set. Perhaps that former you manifested the meteor show for the current you to ponder.

Re: Weirdest thing you ever saw in your life?
Once I was siting at a computer in city hall doing a job search among other things and a guy sits next to me. He starts grunting and or grouling. I thought it strange so I immediately headed for the elevator and fo some odd reason I when up to the top floor. After looking around a while I decided to go to the window and when I looked out there was a bunch of cops running towards the building. I got in the elevator again and the guy standing beside me says you don't want to get off on the fourth floor again. I asked why. He said the cops just pepper sprayed some guy and arrested him for threatening a social worker. He said even after a full shot of pepper spray right in the face, it still took four cops to wrestle him down. I think he must have been on that testosterone drug or maybe bathsalts who knows.
