Anonymous Coward User ID: 80313964 05/10/2021 08:56 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | 80 new cases in Iowa, no deaths. Quoting: R. Wordsworth Have to go back to the first week of April 2020 when cases were on their way up for the first time to find a day that low. I'm sure there's a reason why this is horrible news. To give an idea of how much lower the R number is currently, there were about 500 active cases of COVID back then... and 40,000 right now. Given the lack of testing then I'm sure that 500 is very low. Looking at the number of deaths at the time versus later in the pandemic, probably was 10,000 to 20,000. Still pretty good. If 7 day average deaths tick down by 1 more point, they will be at the lowest level seen since the end of March 2020 when it first ticked up to 1 from 0. Wrong. You have to stick to the 10 am numbers ... that’s 70 less than I posted. But it’s unfortunately low enough that folks are having their great normalcy. It looks good. And that’s going to suck when it just keeps burning. |

They had limits, but hardly mattered; not much there. Quoting: Moniker Shmoniker Ahhhhh. And it’s still winter here. I know it's not life or death with lack of market flowers. It was sad to see all the empty bins and refrigerators normally full of flowers. I always stop, peruse, and debate on buying myself flowers. The frugal side usually wins, but last time I did buy myself some flowers. Now I'm glad I did. The whole reason I went out tonight was to fill my almost empty gas tank. Seeing the main board now makes me thankful I did. One tank lasts me quite a while. |

I used to keep flowers on my desk (at actual office). I found a $5 set and they lasted for two weeks. Made the soul crushing work a little less crushing. It is life or death :) it’s not supposed to be 39 degrees at night right now.... thanks for noticing another cog. The gas thing is definitely in a league of its own.... I like going full Me Tell U tardish.... oil sickness.... |

Lol. Seems apropos for 2021. And we thought 2012 was going to be weird. ;) First tell the truth, then give your opinion.... |
