It’s like folks don’t understand..... this countermeasures program.... it’s administrative....

October 2020... but there haven’t been any further better conversations

If you get injured by COVID, you have no recourse whatsoever as opposed to maybe some with the vaccine.

And as per your claims, COVID is a progressive disease that will eventually kill or at least maim everyone who has had it.

So... get the jab then?

1dunno1
 Quoting: R. Wordsworth

Logical Fallacy.

But circular logic is working for most.

The vaccine is just a little slice of keep things held together for as long as possible. We fast approaching several natural disasters.... then they will just blame those.

I never said kill.... but maim... yes. But even the vaccinated are going to be infected, especially with the masks gone. And children mingling.

It’s the dumbest of dumb .... and we have seen dumb over the past 15 months.

Hey, Gang, back for a quick update and thought:

1. The Thought. DRs update made me think. What would save someone who got the vax, got a variant, and is dying from a cytokine storm?

Cimetidine (Tagamet), IIRC, stops the cytokine storm. I will stock up. Also, Ivermectin seems to prevent the virus from replicating. Again, I will stock up.

If the pandemic gets worse, I can help others. If there is panic, Ivermectin and Cimetidine will not be on the shelves.

2. Update. Friday, I had a shitty day.

Was super tired Thurs. nite, so decided to not take my usual midnight walk checking gates, etc.

Took my most powerful sleep med and got to sleep at 2 AM.

I FORGOT to lock the gate separating the back and front yards.

Friday morning the big female Husky went thru the gate and attacked her arch rival, my female German Shepherd.

I woke up at 7 AM to go to the bathroom and found my wife crying and washing the wounds on her hands and arms.

The husky bit her on both as she tried to pull the husky off. My daughter was pulling the German Shepherd back by the collar.

I thought both dogs would die. Lots of blood.

Nope. They are limping around now.

The Queen is OK. No deep wounds.

The problem is ME. I am depressed that I forgot to double check the gates. Forgot to lock it again after I went thru to feed the cows.

I am getting old and forgetting more.

Oh, and the VA doc cut a big piece of my cheek off to send to the lab. Pre-cancerous before, but it's back.

I was ready to get rid of both dogs first thing that morning. It's hard to have two animals that want to kill each other.

I guess my day was not so bad. We are all still above ground.

Back to virus doom/no doom. The informed, lively debate is illuminating.

Stay prudent, Friends.

Prayers for you Darth and your family....

Suggestion--
I used to do this at work

I made a big poster of 5 things that had to be done before I left in huge font on the door right at eye level above door knob so I couldn't miss it. Maybe put something like this by your nightstand where the Queen will see it as well. Or the hallway where all of your family can see it.
or--
Maybe a magnetic board with magnets to move
(I used to have to move a magnet from in to out at work when coming and going)

Have a chart for the 5 things that must be done--
Example--
xyz doors locked y/n

Put the magnet underneath it when you know it's locked

Dogs secured y/n
chickens fed

etc you get the idea.

That way it's not on you all the time...

Prayers regarding the VA samples, etc...
 Quoting: Bastetcat

Excellent idea!

On my Task List, I already had "update daily check list".

I take so many meds and have so many regular duties that I need the Check List.
 Quoting: darth

Really sorry to here about Mrs Darth and the dogs. My son has a 110 pound German shepherd who is very territorial although away from his house he will happily play with other unleashed dogs at a dog park. I use the alarm/message function on my Iphone to remind me. You may know this but "In the Clock app, click on the Alarm button and create or edit an alarm. The four settings are Repeat, Sound, Snooze, and Label. Type your desired text in Label and it will display when the alarm fires."

Hey, everyone. I've been skimming and keeping an eye on Covid stats, but most of my time is now focused on the multiple geopolitical clusterfucks we've got going on globally right now. 2021 is going to end badly, I fear.

But I did want to contribute a personal vaccine observation, and this is the only place I'm posting it for right now because it's thin. Very, very thin. But still concerning.

As you may remember, Raffette decided to get the Pfizer vaccine before going back to work in her office. She received her second dose about a month ago. For the past week she has been complaining about being "irrationally irritated." Her exact words. Not at me or anything specific, just generally annoyed about nothing.

Now, none of you know her except for what little tidbits I've dropped in here, but for 18 years she has been the most stable, rational, calm person I have ever known. Even after two surgeries that affected her hormones, she remained consistently emotionally stable. While we have general disagreements and get on each other's nerves from time to time, I can count on one hand the number of times we have been actively pissed at each other over the past 18 years. So this is extremely out of character for her.

At first, I didn't make the connection. I just figured that she was a little off with going back to work at the office. But for it to persist this long, I'm starting to doubt that. Literally five minutes before I started posting this, I made the timeline connection of her getting her vaccine. If you take the date she received her second dose and add the two weeks they say to wait to be "fully vaccinated," that's pretty close to when she started feeling this way.

Those of you who have studied vaccine side effects more than I have, how concerned should I be? Is it possible for the vaccine to be interfering with her hormone medication somehow? I'm not going to discuss this with her unless I have more evidence that my suspicions are correct.

Thanks in advance.

I haven't heard of anyone in my personal bubble of friends, family, and clients, who have got COVID in a couple of months.

Haven't heard of anyone on GLP getting it either.

Only spread right now is in high density housing in major cities.

We hit the lowest Sunday numbers since March 2020 with 6 million active cases, there were only 90,000 way back then.

Just imagine once we clear that huge backlog of active cases...

And then....

'It was scary': People were stranded 20 feet in the air when a roller coaster became stuck mid-ride

Less than 50%

Fire rescue teams then arrived at the coaster and used a High Angle Belay System to safely lower the passengers to the ground, Phoenix Fire said. Photos from the fire departments show at least seven ladders being used and about 15 firefighters on the scene.

Phoenix Fire Capt. Todd Keller said the passengers were rescued one at a time over a couple hours using a cinch rescue collar and a pick-off harness. No one was injured.

 Quoting: CleverCreator

Had that happen at Great America in Gurnee, IL, once upon a time. My son and I were on their biggest roller coaster and got stuck at about a 20 degree "lean" on the highest curve.

Sat there for about half an hour before they gave an "all clear". I was quizzing the gremlin they sent up the internal ladder/catwalk as I'd never really "studied" roller coasters. Best thing I can say is that if you LIKE coasters please don't read up on how they work. If you're scared of them? It's actually with very good reason. For the majority of the travel around the tracks the coaster is actually "on it's own", i.e. gravity and inertia are doing their thing. It's only in close contact with the structure when you hear it being moved up an incline by the drive system.

Everyone said the rest of the US was gonna be like Michigan, but they peaked a month ago and not a single state has followed that trajectory.

They said Michigan couldn't vaccinate their way out of that outbreak... but apparently they could, because in another week or so they should be inline with New York's case rate per capita.

Here is an interesting one, with pictures!..."Researchers show that both mice and pigs are capable of oxygenating their blood via the colon—a capacity that, if shared by humans, could be leveraged in the clinic to minimize the need for mechanical ventilation."... [link to www.the-scientist.com (secure)]
 Quoting: Lago

In Dr. Alton's book on SHTF medicine, he mentions that you can hydrate a patient via the colon if you don't have an IV handy.

You never know when an obscure fact may come in handy. Even better if you have the books on hand.
 Quoting: darth

I watched a documentary a while back about a family who was lost at sea for like a month and survived. They survived because the Mom was a nurse. She made them all take seawater enemas to stay hydrated. I guess the colon only takes what it needs, and expels the rest!
