It looks like the virus mutations...variants(maybe the results of side effects from the shots).... and possible engineered new bioweapons for depopulation will continue and continuous shots will be futile. I refuse the poison shots and will maintain Ivermectin....Fenbendazole if needed.....supplements to include Zinc...vitamin C and D....Oil of Oregano gel caps...colloidal silver and anything else I can think of to fight virus's and boost my immune system. Any other suggestions for the future?

Learn how to make colloidal silver
Stay away from all the snake oil salesmen. Very few of them have any idea what they’re making and selling. There is no need to buy any particular thing from any specific supplier. Here is a source of authentic, well-reviewed, accepted information with no commercial activity allowed:

Colloidal / Electrically Isolated Silver

Wouldn't it be smart to check out what's needed and how to make it ... while the economy's wheels are still rolling, and you can still get items from the brown truck of happiness? Hmmm.

Yes. Most of have been doing this for two years. Thank you.

Please be careful. Colloidal silver ain’t gonna help to keep this virus at bay.

Sigh. Good thing I have self control. Everyone in public is gonna catch it this round. Fuck.

And I will wait to see if we get a lull before ordering. I don’t care if we can’t get anything else. We have enough to be just fine for a long damn time.

Although, I might only have enough deodorant left for 9 months. Blah. There are worse issues. I did manage to get enough razors in to cover eons.

 Quoting: CleverCreator

I have plenty of self control, too -- oodles of it, when it comes to self isolating, but there are a lot of factors that are totally outside my control. My mom's estate needs handling now, due to a reverse mortgage that requires I have her house cleared out and ready to sell and listed 5 months from today. Death certificates and ID have to be presented in person to the banks, and maybe other agencies, too. I will need movers for the stuff I'm wanting to keep, a storage unit, and haulers for the remainder. All of this is going to require me to have some contact with others, as I simply can't clear a 4 bedroom home by myself. I can't even lift most of the funiture I want, as it is solid walnut.

My roommate had no option but to go back to work in person, since nobody is locking down around here.

I'm not coming down on you, CC -- I am glad you are in a situation where you really can hunker down and be no-contact. I'm just pointing out that some of us don't have that option, and that is isn't for lack of self-control.
 Quoting: Doommonkey

Those are all valid things. I am sorry that I wasn’t specific.

Once it was obvious that everyone was getting this - restaurant eating, normal capacity shopping, theaters, stuff that has absolutely nothing to do with real needs should have been avoid.

This is true self control. Although, I definitely would consider putting off the move until the wave has at least dropped to a stable high.
 Quoting: CleverCreator

I think your post hit a raw nerve, CC, because I have a lot of those right now. I'm truly upset that I find myself in this situation when the pandemic has reached a fever pitch of insanity and rampant contagion.

After isolating almost entirely since the beginning of 2020, I suddenly find myself thrown into having to interact with a lot of people (who interact with a lot of people,) and it scares the hell out of me.

I literally can't put this off. I'm not moving -- I'm closing out my mom's estate, and that requires closing her bank accounts in person, and readying her house for sale. These things need to be done in a very timely fashion. I spent the first month too deep in grief to do anything, which leaves me 5 months to get everything done -- and it is a lot to do while also working full time. I need to clear out her house. I need to move the things I'm keeping, and have everything else hauled away, and have the house fixed up enough to list -- in 5 months. The mortuary, the banking business, some of the house business, all needs to be done in person, to prove I am who I say I am. Some of the banking transactions require multiple visits to the bank, too.

The reverse mortgage people are not flexible in their deadlines, so there is no option but to do this, and to do it now. It's the worst possible timing to be facing something like this, because I don't want to call on friends for help, and expose myself to even more people.

I've already pushed my body about as far as it can go, with all the stress and lack of sleep over the last few months -- and now I have a huge mountain of work to accomplish in a very short time.

As careful as I've been, this almost guarantees I'm going to catch Omicron, and I don't even want to think about what that will do to me in the shape I'm currently in.

So, my personal drama aside, I wanted to make the point that not everyone is in a position to hunker down through all the madness ... I'm glad for the ones who are, but the world is going to continue doing what it does, because there are no pauses, no lockdowns, no grace periods anymore. People are being forced to go back to their jobs, to schools, etc., despite the risks. It's a complete disaster.

It upsets me a great deal to see so many people getting sick, and to think about how many of those people will have serious long term problems afterward.

Sure, some people are going about their lives as if nothing is wrong and getting sick because of that --- but a lot are only doing what is actually required of them, and they are also getting sick.
 Quoting: Doommonkey

hugs

I am sorry about the reverse mortgage. Those should have been outlawed.

Not as many folks are doing what needs to be done. We would like to think that, but again I blame public health officials.

I forgot to answer you last night. I was kind of in a weird funk.

If it isn't time, I don't think I've ever seen a time closer to war than this one. I was too little to remember the Cuban missile crisis. All it will take is one stupid mistake...accidently or on purpose.
 Quoting: Texan Buckeye

I remember the Cuban missile crisis very well.

The major difference between then and now is that JFK was willing to go on television and address the nation.

He had a cold or the flu at the time and looked awful on the tv screen, which in those days for most people was small and black and white rather than color.

His resolve, our resolve as a nation, was made pretty clear; we were NOT going to allow missiles in Cuba, we blockaded Cuba, and it was clear that if the Russians persisted we'd consider their actions a declaration of war.

I think it's important to recognize that if JFK were alive today he'd be considered a fairly to the right Republican instead of a Democrat.

And for the most part I think it's fair to say that as a country we were united behind the actions being taken on our behalf regardless of the consequences.

In short, nothing like what's going on right now. We're in the dark, we're not hearing from our commander in chief, and the msm today runs an agenda rather than accurately reporting on what's really going on.
 Quoting: Larry D. Croc

We are so screwed now, or should I say likely Europe is, and by extension the US, with Potato at the helm, and his incompetent political parasite appointees.

On other news, almost all COVID symptoms gone - MOcro Mini's and mine. Will continue the GLP approved protocol until Tuesday to be safe. It seems to work. Maybe we got lucky with mild cases too? Hard to say, but thankful to have not gotten really sick, like so many others have suffered.

Texan Buckeye --

I'm not going to continue quoting that huge post/response. I always seem to mess up the html when I try to shorten them.

Unfortunately, no -- there is nobody else. I had/have to take care of everything. I have an unofficial step-sister
(parents never married, but we blended families for a number of years.) She is doing a little of the legwork, like looking for movers, etc. I think I am going to use the broker she used when she sold her father's house. But, legally, everything has to be done by me.

Her offers of help are somewhat useful, but she is doing a lot of telling me what to do, and acting as if my process is going to be the same as hers was when she handled her father's estate. It's a totally different situation, as she wasn't there when her father was ill, nor when he died. Plus, his house had already been cleared out and was being rented when they decided to sell it, so all she had to do was make a few phone calls

She's also healthy, and assures me that "Omicron is mild" so I shouldn't be worried about it. She's utterly clueless as to what it means to be immunocompromised, though she might be starting to get an inkling of it, as I am being quite vocal on the matter.

Telling her that I managed to get staph infections on both arms last month from some minor scratch/bug bite/something kinda got her attention. That's in addition to the systemic yeast flareup, and the recurent UTIs that I have had for months.
 Quoting: Doommonkey

I can't seem to shorten them either, don't feel bad.

Yikes! You sure don't need a bossy anybody. You are an intelligent woman. You can do this. Honestly, I was surprised at how easy my mom's paperwork was, unlike my mother-in-law's. That mess was really caused by having 3 out of 4 siblings bossing each other around. I'm a little surprised that they all still talk to each other.

Also, if you don't have one already, make sure you have a good lawyer. They will be an amazing amount of help. The bankers should be too. Both made a big difference in getting the estate taken care of as easily as possible. I don't know anything about reverse mortgages, so I can't help there.

I can't think of anything else that might help. You already know to take care of yourself, too. Again, you can only eat an elephant one bite at a time, kiddo. Find your start point and don't let yourself get overwhelmed. I know, easy to say...hard to do.
 Quoting: Texan Buckeye

I have little to add, as Granny's estate had been settled for years before her death.

The only thing I would suggest is to never do a reverse mortgage, unless there is no other choice to maintain an acceptable state of living. Better off to sell and move to a smaller home if possible.

Bankers only offer products that are to their benefit, not that of the customer. They are a for profit business, so that is what they do.

GM, DM i penned the phrase "acceptable risk" way back. i know we can not all do the same things to avoid the virus. each of our situations is different. let alone our locations and the waves we have dealt with. we do the best we can with the best PPE we can find.

we may not b able to avoid it 100% but i do think there is a chance our bodies can fight off some exposure. but we must limit it as much as possable. the less u get exposed the better chance u have. do what can to boost your immune system and get as much time and rest in between exposure that u can. stagger your outings of appointments with banks and others.

i'll post these again case they help-
do all u can to boost your immune systems now. 3> tighten prevention procedures before next year starts. 4> delay trips or outings even more than u have already. 5> do something that feels good emotionally to u. can't hide well enuf. happy is healthy. play music buy something new, eat your favorite food, call an old friend, etc. whatever u do that makes u feel better bout life even for a short time. 6> upgrade your PPE. if the best u can find is cloth masks, use gloves. put a box in your car, at work, etc. 7> get more sleep. more rest u give your body between exposures, the better it will fight for u.

check #5. it may help lower that stress factor a bit. take time to remember the happy times u had with your mom.

don't worry too much, just do the best u can. all any of us can do in our own worlds.

as to the drum beats of war, we are already fighting 1 if not 2. we fight the virus war. in some ways we fight an internal war to try and keep from losing more control of our country. not quite a CW yet,but on edge of breaking out.

not sure how we can fight 2 at once. not while we duck from the virus. i think over the next year, we will all have to take time to decide what life we do want or are willing to accept long term. we sure can't keep going this way. the risks out there go up with each variant. we will have to limit our outings more and more.

CHINA will decide a lot of what happens. i doubt many think JB is going to lead the US and fight Russia. how can he with the weak military we have? if war breaks out, the US may find we have few friends. the EU will go its own route. but we stand with ties to CHINA.

resources will become an issue. as food becomes more scarce and if fuel supplies are cutoff, there may b no choice. this isn't the 19 century. the US is no longer the tech advanced manufacturing giant it once was. we are used up.

when the dust settles from all the wars, this world will look very different than the 1 we knew a few years ago. 5yrs from now ,we may all need gardens to eat and bio-suits to travel places. not sure if the changes will b good or bad.

i don't fear a nuke war. there are IMO others who will have a say in that. they should show their faces and stop a full nuke assault. how much they will help beyond that is not known.

As for "Is it time?" Not yet, but let's just say that I got all the laundry done today. I can't say anything else. Love you guys.

And then in 60 days they get to do it again. And again. Until they can’t.

My husband's work phone rang as soon as I hit post, and I nearly jumped out of my skin. Hahaha.

Not THE call, however.

TB, that was an excellent rant. Who are we doing this for? I ask myself that a lot these days.

DM, my heart goes out to you. It took me a year to close my mother in law's estate: (1) it was pre-Covid, and (2) I don't work! You have our support when you need to rant or worry. I'm sorry we can't do more.

Riff, congratulations on your success!

Jazz,

The US and China broke up the minute the supply chain broke. I don't think all the king's horses or all the king's men can put that clusterf*** back together again.

What I am reading and hearing about China tells me that they are going to close back up to the world soon. They are imploding on all levels.

Time will tell. Fun times. /sarc

Husband's test returned positive.

He had it Nov 2020 and this is different for him in these ways-

First one was in bed 11 days, this one 1 day

First one mild fever, this one mild fever then up to 103.8
