the Supreme Court of the US has no Jurisdiction in States elections.

Thomas IS an idiot. Others have said it, now I know its true.

These were national elections. The states violated their own laws to achieve a desired result. Seems Trump's last 2 scotus picks were bad choices.

Yes, Kavanaugh was a Bush cronie as well as his wife, and from the very beginning I said Coney-Barret was a nut and not to be trusted. Sadly, President Trump chose poorly.

They have destroyed the US justice system in their decision.

They have made a mockery of the Supreme court system and a mockery of the US Federal election.

Very sad.

You are an idiot. The Constitution sets the terms for federal elections and even the timing of those elections to prevent states from doing exactly what PA did.

Thanks for stopping by on your way to riot and loot!

We have officially planted the flag in Clown World. The rationale and quasi logic could only be achieved by lawyers. Let me see if I can follow it: To raise a suit ahead of the actual anticipated act would not give the plaintiff standing, because it has yet to take place. By waiting until after the transgression has transpired, the Doctrine of Latches kicks in and the case becomes a moot point as too much time has passed.
We could bring in teams of mathematicians and physicists to try and identify the exact point of inflection where the case goes from before standing to moot point, or we could bring in some nine year olds to call someone out for changing the rules in middle of the game just using horse sense.
Congratulations America, last one out hit the lights.

Re: Justice Thomas: SCOTUS Refusal to Hear Pennsylvania Election Cases Is 'Inexplicable'
there are no semantics. SCOTUS has No Jurisdiction.

One State has No Jurisdiction over another State and is in no position to determine the legality of its elections.

Quite true and straight forward and unambiguous.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 22191327

Stop playing with ideology.

You know full well that everything comes down to just how liberal/leftist or conservative/rightist the observer is or isn't.

I admit I filter my opinions and interpretations of rules and laws through a conservative prism, just as you need to admit you do the same through a liberal prism.

And don't claim you're apolitical, non-partisan or non-liberal. Cut the bullshit.

Another inexplicable thing is that in Bush v Gore the lawyers argued that republicans weren’t allowed to watch the recount in Miami Dade.

Two of those lawyers were Barrett and Kavanaugh. Yet they approve of such violations now.

NAY-SAYERS.. can you explain the Consent Decree that the Dems used against the Republicans for 35 years if FEDERAL LAW has no jurisdiction?

All I can say is DISGRACEFUL!

Shame on them for letting down the entire nation!

They have single handedly destroyed any confidence I ever had in the United States justice system and caused irrepairable damage to the election process which could last for decades.

If there’s no such thing as a federal election then why do we have the FEDERAL election commission. The federal election is the electoral college, every state goes in with their results from their state election and casts their electoral votes for their desired candidate. Ya dope.
 Quoting: Ntg567

Federal Election Commission, created 1975, is a perversion. Created by someone who thinks and believes as you do. Oddly enough created within a year of the near overthrow of the US Government in 1974, after Nixon resigned.

Sovereign States and their residents created the Federal System by signing the Treaty called the Constitution of the United States.

The Federal government does't decide anything regarding who goes to or stays in Washington. the idea that it does is a perversion.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 22191327

You’re right the federal government doesn’t decide they just facilitate the means for conducting the national election, the states decide who stays in Washington in the national election ie the electoral college.
 Quoting: Ntg567

And it is up to the citizenry of each state to hold their representatives accountable. That said, when a handful of state officials decide an election outcome on behalf of an entire country’s population and that state’s citizenry does nothing, this is how wars are born. But then, this is what that “handful” actually wants, and they will continue to press, push and prod until they get it.
Within the surreal depths of "reality" lies the truth.

Come on, Clarence, it's perfectly explicable.

John Roberts is a pedo who is being blackmailed. And the other conservatives are also likely under some kind of control. Bad idea to pick a nominee for SC who has children ... since all it takes are a few threats that something might happen to the kids.

You people that are saying the supreme court has no jurisdiction are morons.

They have jurisdiction over everything.

That have the power to adjudicate the constitutionality of anything that's brought to them.

They make the final decision on whether a state's actions are constitutional or not.

Looks that way. Trump's people either knew that when they provided the lists to him, or else they didn't vet them well enough, and the new ones are compromised.

SCOTUS used to be the one branch that most people trusted to be independent of politics and graft.

Now, there's no one.

But here's something the evil pricks taking this nation down need to think about:

NEVER TAKE EVERYTHING AWAY FROM A MAN. IF YOU DO, HE WILL HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE.

They really need to heed that. But they won't.
