Last I knew, New Atlantis, many stars in the sky have changed positions in the sky over the centuries, and even thousands of years. This is precisely the reason why ancient astronomy have been largely a mystery to modern Humanity this entire time. There was once either a NASA star chart or some other astronomer's work many years ago who did their best to reconstruct the ancient star charts.

They did this to be able to accurately predict where pretty much every star in the Earth's night sky would be at any given time in the future, including distant future. Turned out when whoever did this ancient star chart managed to accurately figure out where roughly 90% every star was back in various time frames on Earth. Not every star was available since some went nova and/or supernova over the many thousands of years here on Earth. Very good astronomical works, really.
