Sumerian Gematria utilizes a base of six or sixty (zero is a non-number)

(we still use some of the Sumerian base of 6 or 60 in our circle of 360 degrees, and in our divisions of time (60 minutes in an hour, sixty seconds in a minute, etc.)

The gematria for the English language is formed by adding 6 to each letter of the alphabet in the following manner:

A = 6; B = 12, C = 18,

until each letter has been assigned its proper number.
