That you haven't spoken to in 30 years? I know it's a long time. I recently did and the result left me shell shocked. Not the person i thought or imagined existed. Life is strange. Time slips away. The older you get the more you will realize that friends come and go and are really just the result of being forced in same classroom or work cubicle. Maybe if you shared a fox hole or were in combat that's blood brothers forever. Family is really all we have now. Friendship is bullshit after a certain age. Everything is about making as much money as possible before you die. Quite depressing. We also create memories which distort our vision of the present.

question is why?
let the bygones be bygones.
family seems to be the wiser investment of the two.

There is no such thing as friends. (And family are questionable at best)

Yeah. Remember when you used to want to get away from your parents to hang out with friends.... How did that turn out. How much do you wish you could have that time back right now?
