I think he was not laughing at the drowned deer . He was laughing that some one would put the photo up for public viewing .

Kinda like people rushing to a bad fire or auto accident to see the mayhem . I see whole herds of drowned deer in the irrigation canals around the area where I live after they go in to cross and then can not climb out on the slick moss covered concrete canal lining .

Probably kinda what happened to the deer in the pool . We generally rope them and pull them out if we catch them before it is to late .

I'm flesh and blood 100% pacific northwest redneck farm boy . What it is is just that , what it is . I've pulled cattle and deer out of the local canals in my younger days and a few dogs as well .

It ain't the deer he's laughing at , it's the people that get off on the photo . The deer is sad , the people that want to see it even more so .
